A chair frame mechanism and a chair having the same are provided. The chair frame mechanism includes a movable component, a chair bracket, a leg component, a back component and a sequence component. The movable component is connected with the chair bracket. The leg component and the back component are pivotally connected with the chair bracket, respectively, and the back component is connected with the movable component. The sequence component is connected with the movable component and the chair bracket, respectively, and connected with the leg component and the back component by transmission, respectively. The sequence component is capable of controlling the chair bracket to move relative to the movable component along a preset trajectory, and orderly controlling the leg component and the back component to extend or fold relative to the chair bracket.

The present disclosure relates to a mechanical stretching device for a movable seat unit, and a movable seat unit thereof. The mechanical stretching device includes: a linkage support that comprises a support structure configured to support the mechanical stretching device on ground and a linkage structure attachable to a seating portion of the seat unit; a back mechanism that is pivotally connected to the linkage support and is configured to attach to a backrest of the seat unit; and a leg stretching structure including a footrest element, and the leg stretching structure is pivotally connected to the linkage support, and the footrest element is attached to a footrest of the seat unit. The mechanical stretching device is configured to implement a sequential conversion or a reverse sequential conversion of the seat unit from a sitting state to a relaxing state and to a lying state.

The seatback frame may be supported by the base frame and may be movable relative to the base frame and the chaise seat bottom frame between upright and reclined positions. Movement of the seatback frame from the upright position to the reclined position causes movement of the chaise seat bottom frame upward and forward relative to an aft end of the base frame from the first position to the second position.

Within the pedestal, a drive wheel positioned under the carriage supports and rotates the carriage by driving an outer sphere-shaped surface of the carriage. The drive wheel can be reoriented around a vertical axis such that any combination of pitch and roll can be achieved by rotating the wheel against the sphere-shaped surface. Yaw can be controlled by a rotatable platform upon which the carriage pedestal can be mounted.

For additional functionality, a cradle assembly is provided in order to provide a cradling movement to the recline or lift-recline base. The cradle assembly can be provided by a system of standoffs and pivot connections, which can be direct or use links, or can be configured with a track and roller or slide system in order to achieve a desired cradling movement. A cradle actuator is connected between the cradle base and the recline or lift-recline base. A controller is provided that controls movement of the cradle actuator and preferably at least one recline or lift-recline actuator.

The backrest frame is connected below the pivot points to the seat surface frame so that during the pivoting movement the seat surface frame is moved translationally. The drive mechanism is arranged below a first lateral edge region of the seat surface frame.

The control module is configured to, in response to the input from the user indicating an intent to return the movable components to respective home positions, perform a homing sequence. The homing sequence includes selecting a first actuator according to a specified order, determining a home location for the selected actuator, and beginning to drive the selected actuator toward the home location. The homing sequence includes repeatedly selecting a next actuator according to the specified order and repeating the determining and the beginning. The homing sequence includes determining whether mains electricity is present and, if not, pausing the repeatedly selecting until less than a threshold number of actuators are in motion.
