The second clamper includes multiple second curved combing extensions and a second rotatable connection portion. A resilient element is rotatably connected between the first rotatable connection portion and the second rotatable connection portion and is configured to urge the first clamper and the second clamper to clamp hairs. The first clamper further includes at least one first flexible rib extending from the inner wall thereof and one-piece formed with the first combing extension, and the second clamper further includes at least one second flexible rib extending from the inner wall thereof and one-piece formed with the second combing extension.

Method for producing a clamping member of a hair clip, the clamping member, and a hair clip including two clamping members
09924772 · 2018-03-27 ·

A method for producing a clamping member of a hair clip includes filling a plastic material into a cavity defined by a fixed mold and a movable mold, forming a clamping member. The plastic material in rectilinear passages and grooves in the movable mold form teeth on a clamping portion of the clamping member. Then, the movable mold disengages from the fixed mold with the clamping member remaining on the movable mold. Next, the clamping member is moved away from the movable mold by a distance. The plastic material in each groove becomes an elongated section. Before the plastic material completely cures, the clamping member completely disengages from the movable mold. The elongated section of each tooth bends downwards due to gravitational force and completely cures to form a hooked section. The remaining portion of each tooth forms a rectilinear section interconnected between the hooked section and the clamping portion.

A hinge having dual axes includes two hinge members each having a hinge leaf and one or more knuckles, a pivot pin received in a longitudinally extending bore in each knuckle, each pivot pin also received in one of two apertures in one or more connector plates that interconnect the hinge members, and one or more springs biasing the hinge members toward a closed position, so that the knuckles are rotatably disposed adjacent to each other, each hinge member independently rotatable about one of two pivot axes, and only a single seam is presented between the two knuckles as the hinge members move between open and closed configurations. In one embodiment a connector incorporating the connecting plates covers and hides the springs from view.

A hair claw clip includes a first jaw and a second jaw that is pivotally connected to the first jaw at a hinge. The first and second jaw each has a indicia portion monolithically formed as an integral part of the respective first and second jaw. The indicia portion has at least one opening through the respective first and second jaw that forms part of a character that can be read from a side of the respective first and second jaw. Each first and second jaw further includes a jaw body forming a lower part of the indicia portion and a handle portion that extends outward from the jaw body at an angle to the jaw body. The handle portion forms an upper part of the indicia portion. The hinge is located between the handle portions of the first and second jaws. The first and second jaws and the indicia portion share an outermost first terminal edge and an outermost second terminal edge opposite from the first terminal edge. The handle portion and upper part of the indicia portion extend across entire widths of the first and second jaws from the outermost first terminal edge to the outermost second terminal edge.
