HIGH-LEG RECLINER SEATING MECHANISM
A high-leg seating unit, and a six-bar ottoman linkage for use on a high leg seating unit are provided that allow a higher leg height, a lower seat height, while obscuring most of the ottoman linkage from view in the closed position.
Mechanism for zero-gravity reclining chair
A mechanism for a zero-gravity reclining chair enables the zero-gravity reclining chair to achieve different positions, states, or modes, including a seated position, state, or mode, a standing position, state, or mode, a TV position, state, or mode, and a reclining position, state, or mode. The mechanism includes left and right-side linkage systems, as well as first and second linear actuators for moving the linkage system and chair components between the different positions, states, or modes. When the zero-gravity reclining chair is disposed at its reclining position, state, or mode, the backrest portion of the zero-gravity reclining chair is disposed at an elevational level which is the same as, or slightly below, that of the footrest portion of the chair so as to provide the occupant of the zero-gravity reclining chair with enhanced health effects.
Retraction and extension device for a foot and/or leg support of an item of seating and/or lounging furniture
A retraction and extension device (100) for a foot and/or leg support of an item of seating and/or lounging furniture, with two substantially parallel arms (102), each arm (102) includes a first fastener (106) for rotatable fastening to a chassis (108) of the item of seating and/or lounging furniture, second fastener (110) for fastening the foot and/or leg support to the respective arm (102), and a plurality of struts arranged in two rows (104), in each of the rows (104) the struts of the respective row (104) are connected in a rotatable manner to each other. Some of the struts in each of the rows (104) are connected in a rotatable manner to at least one strut of the respective other row (104), wherein the first and the second fastener are spaced apart from each other by a distance of less than 50 cm.
MODULAR ASSEMBLY FOR HIGH LEG ROW SEATING
A modular base system is provided that allows easy installation and maintenance in a row of motion seating units. Arms are easily removable from a base assembly. The base assembly also provides structure allowing easy installation and removal of the motion mechanism. The base assembly also allows easy installation and removal of a back panel. The motion mechanism includes a pivotal seat frame attachment allowing the seat to be pivoted upwardly, from the front of the mechanism.
STOP MECHANISM FOR RECLINER CHAIR
A reclining mechanism for a seating unit including a base, a linkage mechanism operatively coupled to the base, the linkage mechanism configured to move between a closed position and one or more open positions, and a stop member configured to contact the linkage mechanism and the base when the linkage mechanism is in the closed position. The linkage mechanism may include a forward pivot link pivotally connected to the base. The stop member may include a pin coupled to one of the base and the forward pivot link and may contact the other of the base and the forward pivot link when the linkage mechanism is in the closed position.
MODULAR ASSEMBLY FOR HIGH LEG ROW SEATING
A modular assembly for a row of seating units is provided. Each seating unit has a pair of mechanisms operable to move between a closed position and a reclined position. Each mechanism includes first and second roller track that are oriented at opposite angles to one another. A seat mounting plate is moveably coupled to, and constrained by, a linkage coupling the seat mounting plate to the first and second roller tracks so that the seat mounting plate is moveable from a generally horizontal orientation in the closed position, to an inclined orientation in the reclined position, with the incline from back end of the seating unit to the front end of the seating unit.
ALL-LINKAGE RECLINE MECHANISM FOR HIGH LEG SEATING UNITS
A seating unit and a mechanism for a seating unit are provided. Each seating unit has a pair of mechanisms operable to move the seating unit between a closed position and a reclined position. Each mechanism includes an extended seat plate that extends from, and connects to, the chair back to the front of a seat frame. Each mechanism also has a rear pivot link, the upper end of which is pivotally connected to the seat plate. This pivotal connection is above the seat frame, allowing the mechanism to move the seating unit to the reclined position with minimal front-to-back movement. The mechanism moves the seating unit to a zero gravity reclined position, without the use of roller tracks.
RECLINER OR LIFT AND RECLINER CHAIR WITH VARIABLE LIFT PROFILE
A recliner or lift and recliner chair is provided having a recline or lift and recline chair mechanism with preferably with at least one recline or lift-recline actuator that controls a reclining movement or a lifting and reclining movement. The chair mechanism has a recline or lift-recline base, a seat and a back connected thereto. For additional functionality, a cradle assembly is provided in order to provide a cradling movement to the recline or lift-recline base. The cradle assembly can be provided by a system of standoffs and pivot connections, which can be direct or use links, or can be configured with a track and roller or slide system in order to achieve a desired cradling movement. A cradle actuator is connected between the cradle base and the recline or lift-recline base. A controller is provided that controls movement of the cradle actuator and preferably at least one recline or lift-recline actuator.
RECLINING HIGH-LEG SEATING UNIT
An elevated mount chair includes: a base; a pair of arms; a seat positioned above the base between the arms; a backrest; a first ottoman; a reclining mechanism attached to the base, the seat and the backrest; and a footrest mechanism attached to the seat and the first ottoman, the footrest mechanism being coupled to the reclining mechanism. The seat includes a T-cushion positioned above a seat frame, the T-cushion having lateral wings that are positioned forward of the arms. The reclining and footrest mechanisms comprise a plurality of pivotally interconnected links configured to move the chair between an upright position, a TV position, and a fully reclined position. In moving between the upright, TV and fully reclined positions, a front portion of the seat experiences substantially no forward or rearward movement relative to the arms.
MECHANICAL EXTENSION DEVICE OF ROCKING SEAT
A mechanical extension device of a swinging seat is provided, which includes a base, a first swinging rod, a second swinging rod, an actuator and two mechanical extension units, where the base is connected to the first swinging rod and the second swinging rod in a rotating way; the actuator is arranged between the two mechanical extension units; a locking device is arranged on a second connecting rod connected to the second swinging rod in the mechanical extension unit in a rotating mode, a guide groove and a locking groove formed in the guide groove are formed in the base, the guide groove is opened towards one side, the locking device can enter the guide groove from the opened position of the guide groove, and when the locking device swings and moves the mechanical extension unit, the locking device can enter the locking groove and swing relative to the base.
