A selectively positionable hands free clipping device for use in cutting and styling of hair includes a coupler, which can selectively engage an element of a chair, such as an armrest or seatback. An arm is engaged to and extends from the coupler. The arm is flexible and thus can be bent into a plurality of shapes. A hair clip engaged to the arm distal from the coupler can selectively engage a lock of hair. The arm can be bent into a respective shape to selectively position the hair clip relative to the chair. The clip can be used to hold the lock of hair, allowing it to be cut precisely, colored, frosted, and the like.

The present invention relates to a finger operated hair brushing apparatus for preventing scapular pain and hair pulling. In exemplary embodiments, the apparatus comprises: a finger support member configured to engage a user's finger; a rod member coupled to the finger support member; and a clamping member moveably coupled to the rod member. It is contemplated that rod member and clamping member are operably configured to clamp strands of hair during brushing. It is further contemplated that the finger support member can comprise an adjustable loop band, an adjustable magnetic portion, or an adjustable ratcheting mechanism. It is also contemplated that the finger support member can comprise a c-clamp portion for attaching to other devices. Still further, it is contemplated that the rod member and/or clamping member can further comprise a groove for mating with each other, the user's finger, or an outer foam layer.

Disclosed herein is a hair addition for adding volume, texture, and density to the side of a user's head and hairline. The hair addition, in one embodiment, includes two or more wires to which wefts of hair are attached. The hair addition further includes one or more double layer portions of hair and one or more single layer portions of hair. In another embodiment, the hair addition includes one or more wires to which wefts of hair are attached. At least some of the wefts of hair are slidable along the one or more wires. The hair addition further includes elastic cordage connecting to the one or more wires one each end of the one or more wires and an intermediate connector connecting the wires and the elastic cordage.

A hair clip includes a first paddle extending from a first tab. The first paddle has at least a portion with a width that is greater than a width of the first tab. A second paddle extends from a second tab. The second paddle has at least a portion with a width that is greater than a width of the second tab. The second tab is connected to the first tab. A biasing element is disposed between the first tab and the second tab. The biasing element applies a biasing force to both the first and second paddles such that in a rest position, the first and second paddles are in a closed position, and, in a use position, a first force is applied to the first tab and a second force is applied to the second tab such that the first tab and second tab are moved closer to one another and the first and second paddles are moved further apart from one another than in the rest position.

A hair extension for integration with a person's head of hair is described in this disclosure. The hair extension illustratively includes a plurality of supplemental hairs and an attachment band that provides means for removably coupling the plurality of supplemental hairs to natural hairs included in the person's head of hair. The attachment band is illustratively flexible and couples to natural hairs included in the person' s head of hair mechanically.

A hair-retaining device is described as having a base material, a layer of epoxy resin, a compliant exterior layer disposed over the base material and joined to the base material of epoxy resin, and a top coat layer disposed over the compliant exterior layer. The method of making a hair-retaining device is described. The method involves extruding a base material to a predetermined shape, cutting the predetermined shape of the base material to a predetermined thickness, abrading a surface of the base material, applying an epoxy resin to the base material, and applying a compliant exterior layer disposed over the base material and joined to the base material by the epoxy resin.
