Furniture member with compliant legrest mechanism
A legrest mechanism including a seat base rail, a mechanism rail, a drive assembly, a pivot plate link, a pivot plate, a main drive link, and a parallelogram legrest link assembly. The drive assembly moves the mechanism rail relative to the seat base rail, which drives movement of the parallelogram legrest link assembly between a retracted position and an extended position. The parallelogram legrest link assembly includes first and second legrest links, footrest and legrest drive arms, and a legrest bracket. The main drive link has a pin that is slidingly received in a slot in one of the first legrest link, second legrest link, or main drive link such that movement of the parallelogram legrest link assembly is decoupled from movement of the main drive link when the legrest and/or parallelogram legrest link assembly encounters an obstruction while moving from the extended position to the retracted position.
Furniture Member With Powered Wall-Proximity Mechanism
A furniture member includes a base frame, a seat assembly, a motor assembly, a legrest mechanism and a wall-proximity mechanism. The seat assembly is supported by the base frame and includes a seat frame, a seat bottom, a seat back and a legrest. The legrest is movable between a retracted position and an extended position. The seat back is movable between an upright position and a reclined position. The motor assembly includes a draw bar that moves along a motor extrusion housing from an initial position to a first position and to a second position. The legrest mechanism is driven by the draw bar to move the legrest between the retracted and extended positions. The wall-proximity mechanism is driven by the draw bar to translate the seat frame forward relative to the base frame in response to movement of the draw bar from the first position to the second position.
Seating furniture chassis
A seating furniture chassis comprises a seat surface frame, a lever mechanism, a footrest, a guide element, and a guide rail. The footrest is connected to the seat surface frame by the lever mechanism and is convertible between a folded-in state in which the footrest is arranged below the seat surface frame and a folded-out state in which the footrest forms an obtuse angle with the seat surface frame. The guide element is rigidly connected to the seat surface frame. When the footrest is converted between the folded-out and folded-in states, the guide element is guided in the guide rail, which has a curved shape.
RECLINABLE FOLDING DECKCHAIR
A reclinable and folding deckchair including: a backrest, a seating portion, an underframe, formed of a first leg assembly and the second leg assembly, each leg assembly being formed of at least a first front leg and of a second rear leg, where the leg assembly yoke is formed of at least one receiving shell including a first housing configured to accept a fixing member, at least partially, the fixing member being intended to be fixed to a seating portion longitudinal member, and at least one cover shell, articulated with respect to the receiving shell, the said cover shell having, on one face, a cover configured to at least partially conceal the fixing member housed at least in part in the first housing of the receiving shell.
RECLINER OR LIFT AND RECLINER CHAIR WITH VARIABLE LIFT PROFILE
A recliner or lift and recliner chair is provided having a recline or lift and recline chair mechanism with preferably with at least one recline or lift-recline actuator that controls a reclining movement or a lifting and reclining movement. The chair mechanism has a recline or lift-recline base, a seat and a back connected thereto. For additional functionality, a cradle assembly is provided in order to provide a cradling movement to the recline or lift-recline base. The cradle assembly can be provided by a system of standoffs and pivot connections, which can be direct or use links, or can be configured with a track and roller or slide system in order to achieve a desired cradling movement. A cradle actuator is connected between the cradle base and the recline or lift-recline base. A controller is provided that controls movement of the cradle actuator and preferably at least one recline or lift-recline actuator.
Modular assembly for high leg row seating
A modular base system is provided that allows easy installation and maintenance in a row of motion seating units. Arms are easily removable from a base assembly. The base assembly also provides structure allowing easy installation and removal of the motion mechanism. The base assembly also allows easy installation and removal of a back panel. The motion mechanism includes a pivotal seat frame attachment allowing the seat to be pivoted upwardly, from the front of the mechanism.
Adjustable furniture
The invention provides an article of adjustable furniture (10), preferably an adjustable chair or bed, comprising a floor standing base section (16), adjustable seat (18), backrest (20) and headrest (130) sections and actuator means (100) for moving the backrest and headrest sections. The seat section is movably mounted with respect to the base section. The backrest is movably mounted with respect to the seat section and the headrest is movably mounted with respect to the backrest section. The actuator means includes a single actuator (102) for co-ordinated movement of the adjustable backrest and headrest sections for selectively altering the configuration of the article of furniture. The actuator has a first range of movement for moving the headrest with respect to the backrest, and a second range of movement for moving the backrest with respect to the seat section to provide a recliner function. The invention also provides an article of adjustable furniture comprising a backrest (20) and an adjustable headrest (130) pivotally mounted with respect to the backrest, actuator means (100) for moving the headrest between raised and lowered positions, and guide means arranged between the headrest and the backrest for rotating the headrest with respect to the backrest as it moves between said raised and lowered positions. The guide means includes first (138) and second (140) guides, each associated with one of the backrest and the headrest and having at least one follower (142, 144) associated with the other of the backrest and headrest. The first and second guides are inclined with respect to each other such that a turning moment is generated on the headrest when the headrest is raised or lowered.
