RECLINER MECHANISM FOR ELECTRIC ROCKING CHAIR
A recliner mechanism includes a base. Returning spring units are disposed on two sides of the base and rockers are disposed on outer sides of the returning spring units. An extending assembly is disposed at the top of each rocker. A drive unit is arranged between the extending assemblies on the two sides and includes a front driving rod. A reciprocating device is disposed at the middle of the front driving rod and a rear driving rod is disposed at an output end of the reciprocating device. Bent members are fixedly connected to two ends of the rear driving rod. Each bent member is pivotally coupled with a driving member I and the middle of the driving member I is pivotally coupled with a driving member II, with the other ends of the driving member I and the driving member II being pivotally coupled with the extending assemblies.
SEATING FURNITURE HAVING A WALL-AWAY FUNCTION AND A FOOT PART THAT CAN BE PIVOTED OUT
An item of seating furniture includes a chassis, a seat part having a pivotable inclination, a back part pivotable relative to the seat part, and a foot part, which is connected to the seat part via a foot-part adjustment mechanism and can be pivoted out. To adjust the item of seating furniture from an upright sitting position into a lying position, the seat part is moved forward relative to the chassis. In the sitting position, the foot part is pivoted in, substantially underneath the seat part. In the lying position, the foot part is pivoted out, in front of the seat part, such that the seat part is extended by the foot part. When being pivoted into a lying position, the back part moves forward, together with the seat part, relative to the chassis, and therefore, in any pivoted position, the back part does not project, or only insignificantly projects, beyond the rear edge of the item of seating furniture.
SEATING FURNITURE HAVING DUAL-MOTOR WALL-AWAY FUNCTION
Seating furniture includes at least a first and a second linear actuator to adjust the seat part, the foot part, and the back part between the seating and the reclining position. The first linear actuator generates a linear stroke causing the back part to be adjusted relative to the seat part. The second linear actuator generates a linear stroke having at least a first and second partial stroke, The first partial stroke causes, during adjustment of the seating furniture from the seating position into the reclining position, the seat part to slide relative to the frame towards the front, and simultaneously the inclination of the seat part to be adjusted, there being no extension or retraction of the foot part relative to the seat part during this first partial stroke of the second linear actuator. The second linear actuator causes the foot part to extend relative to the seat part by a second partial stroke following the first partial stroke.
Lift chair and recliner
A lift and recliner chair which is positionable in multiple reclining positions including both a Trendelenburg and zero-gravity position, in which using an actuator mechanism the position of the back frame can be adjusted in any lift and/or reclining position the chair is capable of achieving without requiring any movement or adjustment to the position of the seat frame or footrest. The actuator mechanism is secured between the back frame and the seat frame or another component of the lift/recline assembly that follows or moves with the seat frame as the chair is moved between a lift and reclining position, while in one embodiment the angle of the footrest is independently adjustable using a separate actuator mechanism.
Motorized linkage mechanism for hi-leg seating unit
A linkage mechanism provides motion capabilities for various chair types. For example, a linkage mechanism includes a combination of links that facilitate ottoman extension/closing and backrest recline/incline. In addition, a linkage mechanism includes a compact design that is usable with hi-leg style chairs having a relatively low seat height. A seating unit with a motorized linkage mechanism is also provided.
Motorized positioning apparatus for a seating unit
A motorized positioning apparatus for a seating unit includes a motor assembly that is configured to move a linkage assembly though a series of positions that arrange the seating unit in a closed position, open position, or extended position. The motor assembly attaches directly to a footrest drive link by way of a mounting tube. In addition, the motor assembly may attach either to a base rail of the seating unit or to a rear pivot link by way of a rear mounting tube.

ADJUSTABLE FURNITURE
The invention provides an article of adjustable furniture (10) comprising a backrest (20) and an adjustable headrest (130) pivotally mounted with respect to the backrest, actuator means (100) for moving the headrest between raised and lowered positions, and guide means (138, 140) arranged between the headrest and the backrest for rotating the headrest with respect to the backrest as the headrest moves between its raised and lowered positions. The guide means includes first and second guides (138, 140), each associated with one of the backrest and the headrest and having at least one follower (142, 144) associated with the other of the backrest and headrest. The first and second guides are inclined with respect to each other such that a turning moment is generated on the headrest when the headrest is raised or lowered. In one embodiment the article of adjustable furniture comprises a floor standing base section (16), adjustable seat (18), backrest (20) and headrest (130) sections and actuator means (100) for moving the backrest and headrest sections. The seat section is movably mounted with respect to the base section. The backrest is movably mounted with respect to the seat section and the headrest is movably mounted with respect to the backrest section. The actuator means includes a single actuator (102) for co-ordinated movement of the adjustable backrest and headrest sections for selectively altering the configuration of the article of furniture. The actuator has a first range of movement for moving the headrest with respect to the backrest. A second range of movement moves the backrest with respect to the seat section to provide a recliner function.
