Futon frames including a fixed pivot point
A frame subassembly of a foldable bed frame includes a seat deck, a back deck, and armrests. The frame subassembly includes a portion of the seat deck connected to a portion of the back deck; and a fixed pivot point connecting the back deck to the armrests such that the fixed pivot point between the back deck and the armrests does not slide when the foldable bed frame transitions between a folded state and an unfolded state. The foldable bed frame may include a hanger connecting the armrest to the back deck such that the fixed pivot point therebetween is offset. The foldable bed frame may further include an assistance device configured to store elastic energy during a first transition, and release the stored elastic energy during a second transition.
SOFA BED
A sofa that transitions between a sitting position and a sleeping position includes a frame with a bracket and multiple arms and support bases that allow the frame to move from the sitting position and the sleeping position, and the reverse, by allowing the multiple arms to rotate and support bases to rotate about the bracket at attachment points where the bracket and arms are connected by fasteners. A back support portion of the sofa may be hingedly moveable into first and second positions to reduce the vertical height of the back support to allow easier transport and movement of the sofa. The sofa may have a space or notch underneath that is configured to be fastened or otherwise affixed to a platform, such as a bump out in a recreational vehicle, to provide the sofa with a lower profile.

A sofa bed with a seat back assembly, seat, side frame assembly and lock and release member. The side frame assembly includes a side frame and a link assembly connected to the side frame. The link assembly moves between a first position and a second position to allow for conversion of the sofa bed between a sofa position and a bed position. The lock and release mechanism locks the link assembly in place.
VERTICALLY DEPLOYABLE SOFA CONVERTIBLE INTO BUNK BED
A sofa bed is convertible to a bunk bed using a base frame assembly; an upper bunk assembly to be disposed on the base frame assembly in a seating position and to be disposed above the base frame assembly in a bunk bed position; a front link and a rear link pivotally attached to the base frame assembly and the upper bunk assembly, alternative embodiments adding a flange plate secured to the rear link with a motor, cable, drive, screw and drive assembly, or adding a torsion spring assembly, or substituting vertical scissors mechanism for the links or substituting telescoping supports for the link assemblies.
Folding frames for furniture and bedding
A sleeper sofa having a bridge joint to inhibit bowing between frames in a sleeper position is provided although other folding articles are contemplated. The sleeper sofa has a first frame section and a second frame section foldable/pivotable from a first sitting position to a second sleeping position. When in the sleeping position, the bridge joint extends under and between the first and second frame section to provide support to inhibit bowing at the junction between the first and second frame section. The bridge joint includes a pivot axle and an anti-buckling member coupled to a pivot guide having a track. The anti-buckling member travels in the track as the first and second frames are unfolded about the pivotal axle.
SOFA BED
A sofa bed includes a mattress frame, a back frame, two arm frames and two cross beams, two arm frames are connected by the two cross beams, wherein the mattress frame and the back frame are rotatably pivoted. The inner side of the arm frame is disposed with a linking mechanism. The linking mechanism has a front connecting piece, rear connecting piece and a bridge connecting piece. Two ends of the bridge connecting piece are respectively pivoted to the front connecting piece and the rear connecting piece. The bottom end of the front connecting piece is pivoted to the arm frame. The bottom end of the rear connecting piece is pivoted to the arm frame. The linking mechanism has a front connecting piece, rear connecting piece and a bridge connecting piece.
Adjustable chair
An adjustable reclining chair having zero wall clearance has a frame and an adjustable support platform with a plurality of articulated support sections pivotally mounted with respect to one another for relative angular adjustment. An actuator means for effecting co-ordinated movement of said support sections to reconfigure the chair between a seated position and a sleeping position in which the articulated supporting sections lie in a substantially horizontal plane (H). One of the articulated support sections is a seat support inclined relative to the horizontal plane when the chair is in the seated position and substantially in the horizontal plane when the chair is in the sleeping position.

Electric motor dual drive for an adjustable support device for supporting a box spring mattress or an upholstered bed, which includes a frame and plate-like supporting parts pivotably adjustable relative to one another, and includes a fixed central supporting part, one end of which is articulatedly connected to an upper body supporting part pivotably connected around a horizontal pivoting axis. The other end of which is articulatedly connected to a leg supporting part pivotably connected around a horizontal pivoting axis. Dual drive includes a base on which two drive units are arranged. Each drive unit is drive-couple connected in the installation position of the dual drive with a pivot lever. The pivot levers are attached pivot-mounted to the base and disposed in operative connection with an adjustable supporting part to adjust the same supporting part and the dual drive is formed for toolless installation on support device.

A zero-wall trifold sofa bed includes a sofa base, where the sofa base is provided with two symmetrical folding assemblies; the folding assemblies each include a first long arm and a second long arm that are pivoted to a front side of an inner wall of an armrest box of the sofa base; the first long arm and the second long arm are jointly pivoted to a first assembly element for assembling a first sofa base; a middle part of the first long arm is provided with a first short arm; a middle part of the second long arm is provided with a second short arm and a third short arm; the first short arm and the second short arm are jointly pivoted to a second assembly element for assembling a second sofa base; the third short arm is pivoted to one end of a connecting rod.
