READING APPARATUS
According to one embodiment, a reading apparatus includes a shielding body, an antenna, and a reader and writer. The shielding body is formed in a box shape with an upper opening, to place an accommodating body and to shield radio waves. The antenna is provided in the shielding body to receive information from an RFID tag attached to a product that is passing through the opening. The reader and writer is connected to the antenna to read information of the product from the information received by the antenna.
Methods and a system for self-checkout processing
An Artificial Intelligence (AI) trained item image identifier identifies item identifiers, item descriptions, item information, and item pricing from item images captured from a mobile self-checkout manager on a mobile device. The item identifiers are automatically placed in a cart. Payment for checkout is processed through the mobile self-checkout manager and a receipt is provided for viewing on the mobile device. The receipt is shown on the display of the mobile device when existing a retail establishment for any auditing of the transaction with the establishment.
Systems and methods of objectively confirming customer self-scanning of products in a retail store
In some embodiments, systems and methods are provided to confirm customer scanning of products. Some embodiments provide retail store automated product confirmation systems, comprising: a plurality of RFID tag readers; a scan compiling circuit communicatively coupled with a plurality of portable product scanning systems and configured to associate the scanned identifying information with the customer and create a purchase list; and a scan confirmation circuit configured to: receive product identifying information detected by two RFID tag readers and associated with the customer without the customer having to travel through a choke point, generate an RFID detected product listing, determine a current level of accuracy between the RFID detected product listing and the purchase list, and direct an action be taken based on the determined level of accuracy.
SMART WEIGHING SCALE AND METHODS RELATED THERETO
The present disclosure relates to smart weighing scale and methods related thereto. According to a method, at least one image corresponding to each of one or more grocery items resting on a pressure sensing platform of the smart weighing scale is captured. Further, at least a range profile and a range-azimuth signature corresponding to each of the one or more grocery items are obtained from a radar. Further, each of the one or more grocery items is automatically identified based on the at least one image, the range profile, and the range-azimuth signature corresponding to the said grocery item.
READING APPARATUS AND A READING METHOD
A reading apparatus for reading a wireless tag attached to a commodity includes a wireless tag reader configured to emit a radio wave and read information in a radio wave returned from a wireless tag, and a processor configured to control the wireless tag reader to emit the radio wave, upon detection of radio waves returned from one or more wireless tags, determine one or more commodity codes based on information contained in the radio waves, and upon detection of at least one commodity placed in a predetermined area, register the one or more commodity codes determined within a predetermined time prior to the placement of said at least one commodity in the predetermined area.
READING APPARATUS AND A PROGRAM
A commodity reading apparatus includes a display screen, a radio-frequency (RF) tag reader to read commodity codes from RF tag, a scale to obtain a first weight of commodities, and a processor. The processor is configured to: receive commodity codes from the RF tag reader, obtain commodity information corresponding to the commodity codes, and calculate a second weight based on the commodity information. The first weight is compared to the second weight. An error notification is generated when the difference between the first and second weights meets or exceeds a threshold value. An error notice is also displayed on the display screen. A notification is transmitted to an administrator terminal if the error notification has been generated and a predetermined transmission condition has been satisfied.
Point of sale artificial intelligence quality determination system
Systems and methods for operating a Point Of Sale (POS) system. The methods comprise: performing operations by the POS system to machine learn at least information about a condition of an article to be purchased using at least one of imaging, sensing, and short range communications; determining by the POS system if the article is accepted for purchase based at least on the machine learned information about the condition of the article; and completing a purchase transaction by the POS system if a determination is made that the article is accepted for purchase. The POS system may also perform operations to deactivate a security tag coupled to the article or actuate a detachment mechanism of the security tag, if the article was successfully purchased during the purchase transaction.
Visual Recognition and Sensor Fusion Weight Detection System and Method
Disclosed are visual recognition and sensor fusion weight detection system and method. An example method includes: tracking, by a sensor system, objects and motions within a selected area of a store; activating, by the sensor system, a first computing device positioned in the selected area in response to detecting a presence of a customer within the selected area; identifying, by the sensor system, the customer and at least one item carried by the customer; transmitting, by the sensor system, identifying information of the customer and the at least one item to a computing server system via a communication network; measuring, by the first computing device, a weight of the at least one item; transmitting, by the first computing device, the weight to the computing server system via the communication network; and generating, by the computing server system, via the communication network, transaction information of the at least one item.
SALES DATA PROCESSING APPARATUS AND SALES DATA PROCESSING METHOD
In one embodiment, a sales data processing apparatus has a first and a second antennas, and a processor. The first antenna receives, from a wireless tag attached to a commodity, tag information to uniquely identify the relevant commodity. The second antenna receives the tag information from the wireless tag recovered by a recovery device. The processor judges whether the wireless tag attached to the commodity is a wireless tag required to be detached from the commodity, based on the tag information received by the first antenna. The processor judges whether the second antenna has received the tag information of the wireless tag which is judged to be the wireless tag required to be detached from the commodity.
SYSTEM, APPARATUS AND METHOD OF ITEM LOCATION, LIST CREATION, ROUTING, IMAGING AND DETECTION
A system for enabling in store routing of a user generated shopping list using existing store cameras and artificial intelligence and machine learning is provided. The system uses a pixelbuffer comparison of items imaged in real time to compared to a database of machine learned images. The system further provides item recognition and detection through machine learning so as to improve a shoppers experiences. The system and method further includes drone assistance means and radio signal item and biological detection so as to improve accuracy. Other features to improve guidance and accuracy include landmark navigation and masking to improve accuracy of item recognition and detection. The system may be a standalone kiosk.
