Single serving brewing material adapter with readable label
An adapter for single serving cartridges includes a coffee maker readable identification feature. The identification feature may be visual (for example any feature which may be read or a bar code), a readable magnetic strip, a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), or any feature able to contain information and provide that information to a reader. The adapter may be configured for known disposable single serving cartridges, and may include one or more needles to puncture the cartridges for use. The identification feature may inform the coffee maker that an adapter carrying a disposable single serving cartridge is in use, and adjust the coffee maker accordingly.
BREWING DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to a brewing device. The brewing device includes a piston component and a brewing cylinder. The piston component includes a piston body, a piston head and a pipe component. The piston head is installed at an upper end of the piston body. The pipe component at least partially extends in the piston body and the piston head and defines a flow path for introducing a liquid into the brewing cylinder. The piston head is pivotable around an axis relative to the piston body between a first position and a second position. When the piston head is located at the first position, the pipe component is movable downward relative to the piston head and then is separated from the piston head. When the piston head is located at the second position, the piston body prevents the pipe component from moving downward relative to the piston head.
IMPROVED METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR BREWING AND EXTRACTING COFFEE
The present invention relates to an improved method and apparatus for brewing and extracting coffee in a coffee machine. The preferred embodiments of the present invention disclose a method and apparatus for even and efficient extraction of coffee solubles from coffee grounds in the brewing chamber, by inserting water into the coffee grounds at two or more locations. These two locations may, as described in the preferred embodiments of the present invention, be on opposite sides of the coffee grounds.
Hybrid receptacle beverage brewing system
A system for preparing a brewed beverage from at least one flavorant includes a housing, a receptacle connectable to the housing for holding the at least one flavorant and a reservoir connectable to the housing. The receptacle including a first fluid inlet and a second fluid inlet and a first fluid flow path fluidly connects the reservoir to the first fluid inlet and a second fluid flow path fluidly connects the reservoir to the second fluid inlet.
Beverage Brewer with Hot- and Cold-Brew Options
A beverage brewer includes a pump assembly, a flow channel, and a brewing material holder assembly. The pump assembly has an inlet port and is operable to provide negative fluid pressure at the inlet port. The flow channel is arranged for fluid communication with the intake port of the pump assembly. The brewing material holder assembly is configured to hold ground brewing material and is arranged to receive and provide fluid through the flow channel. The pump assembly is configured to draw liquid through the flow channel into the brewing material holder assembly when actuated, thereby brewing a beverage in the brewing material holder assembly when the brewing material holder assembly holds ground brewing material. The flow 10 channel is arranged to receive the liquid from the brewing material holder assembly when the pump assembly is de-actuated.
Coffee machines
Described herein are examples of a system which include a boiling system and a dispensing system. The boiling system includes a primary boiler to heat hot water, a holding boiler to maintain the hot water, a brew group to receive the hot water from the holding boiler, and a heated transfer hose to receive a beverage component from the brew group and apply heat to the beverage component. The brew group includes a motor, a tamp to form a puck, a heated brew chamber to extract a beverage component, a load cell to measure a weight of the brew group, a heating element to heat the brew chamber, a spray to press the puck out, and an ejector to sweep the puck away. The dispensing system is coupled to the heated transfer hose to dispense the beverage component at a set point temperature.
Knock box
A knock box for knocking off coffee grounds from a portafilter, the knock box having a base and walls extending away from the base for laterally delimiting the interior space of the knock box. The knock box has an impact surface located in the area of the walls of the knock box.
Machine for beverage preparation
The present invention concerns a machine (1) for preparing an infusion beverage, comprising: a machine body (10); a filter holder (2) removably constrained to the machine body (10), comprising a seat (2a) for at least one ingredient (100), preferably powdered, for a beverage preparation; a piston (3) constrained to the machine body (10); wherein said machine (1) comprises a motor (M, M) adapted to relatively move said filter holder (2) and said piston (3) between one another, so that to couple said piston (3) with said seat (2a) for, during use, defining an infusion chamber (6) and compressing said at least one ingredient (100) in said seat (2a).
Apparatus for infusing a liquid
An apparatus for infusing a liquid that may be espresso, generally provides a body having a gear box at one end portion of the body, a lead screw and a hand crank mechanically communicating with the gearbox, and a valve body and plunger carried at an end portion of the lead screw opposite the gearbox for axial, and non-rotational, movement within a medial chamber defined by an insulated pressure cylinder, the pressure cylinder releasably engaged with a removable a portafilter frame, opposite the gearbox, that carries a removable particulate basket therein, and a carafe releasably engaged with the porta filter frame opposite the pressure cylinder, and a tamper for compressing particulate in the particulate basket.
