COFFEE AND VENDING MACHINE WITH FOOD WASTE MANAGEMENT
A beverage brewing device may include a beverage brewing device for receiving a single-use beverage cartridge, wherein the cartridge contains beverage material for brewing. The beverage brewing device discards the cartridge in response to the brewing. A mill machine disintegrates the cartridge after receiving the cartridge from the beverage brewing device. A compost box for receiving the disintegrated cartridge from the mill machine.
Beverage Maker
A beverage maker includes a body and a cover movably attached to the body. The body includes therein (among other components), a hot liquid generator (HLG) having a tank, an inlet for receiving liquid into the tank and an outlet, at least one heater in thermal communication with the liquid in the HLG tank, and a discharge port in fluid communication with the outlet of the HLG for discharge of the liquid. The cover is movably attached to the body between a closed position and an open position. At least one valve permits the discharge of the liquid via the discharge port in a closed position of the cover. The at least one valve is mechanically actuated by the cover in the open position of the cover to substantially prevent the discharge of the liquid via the discharge port.
Head assembly for brewing apparatus
According to embodiments described in the specification, a head assembly for a brewing apparatus is described. The head assembly includes a lid portion coupled to a fixed base portion and moveable between open and closed positions; a lock coupled to the lid portion and slideable between locked and unlocked positions; a lever with a first end connected to the lock, an axis point connected to the lid portion, and a second end; and a cover movably coupled to the lid portion and abutting the second end of the lever, such that pressure on the cover rotates the lid portion to the closed position, and rotates the lever so as to slide the lock into the locked position.
Coffee machine
A filter holder for an espresso coffee machine comprising a handle (1) and an outer holder (2), which outer holder is adapted to receive a filter plate (8). The filter plate (8) comprises a plurality of upstanding elements such as truncated pyramids adapted to tear, in use, a surface of a coffee capsule. Between the pyramids a plurality of perforations allow passage of coffee from a capsule to a cup. The holder further comprising a retaining member, which retaining member is adapted to retain the capsule in position and to permit water or steam to be applied under pressure to a surface of the capsule remote from the surface adjacent to the filter plate, the water or steam penetrating the capsule surface to reach the coffee in the capsule.
BEVERAGE PREPARATION MACHINE WITH ENHANCED PUMP CONTROL
A beverage preparation system controls a beverage preparation process by injection of liquid into a cartridge. The system includes a pressure adjustable pump for delivering different pressures upon varying at least one of its drive characteristics such as the speed of the pump, a sensor for measuring an operating parameter of the pump such as a current absorbed by the pump, a now sensor for measuring a liquid flow parameter of liquid injected into the cartridge, and a control unit designed to control an extraction pressure of the cartridge by adjusting the drive characteristics of the pump based on pre-established pressure interpolation data depending on the measured liquid now parameter and the measured operating parameter of the pump.
