Provided is a mopping unit including: a mop base, a head unit and a coupling element; wherein the coupling element having two parallel elongated reinforcing end segments integral with and flanking a central, coupling segment; the base, being a single-piece molded article having a bottom face and a top face; two elongated bores are formed in elongated abutments on the top face, each accommodating one of the two reinforcing end segments; the base being configured for attaching a mopping substrate on the bottom face; and wherein the head unit being pivotally coupled to said central segment to permit it to pivot about a first axis essentially parallel to said central segment and including a receptacle for an end of a mopping handle.

A biasing member is mounted between the first and second plates and urges the first plate and the second plate into a first position wherein the first plate and the second plate are co-planar. A user can bring the base plate to which a cleaning cloth is attached into close contact with a floor, a wall, a ceiling, or the like, using a small force, and when the user moves the base plate to which the cleaning cloth is attached from a boundary portion between a floor and a wall or between a wall and a ceiling to the floor, wall, or ceiling, the base plate can be rotated by the elastic restoration force of the elastic member to instantly come into close contact with the floor, wall, or ceiling, thereby allowing the user to conveniently move the base plate from the boundary portion of the floor, the wall, the ceiling, or the like, without detaching the base plate therefrom.

A multifunctional push-pull mop includes a base plate, a support member, and an elastic member. The present invention relates in general to the field of cleaning devices, and more specifically, to a cleaning device and method of cleaning bathrooms. The cleaning device and method of cleaning bathrooms is inexpensive and environmentally friendly in that it utilizes a removable, washable and reusable cleaning head to thereby reduce unnecessary waste and cost. The cleaning device and method of cleaning bathrooms is sturdy and allows a user to clean an entire bathroom including showers, bathtubs, sinks, counters and toilets. The cleaning head may also be used separate from the cleaning device to clean easy to reach places such as countertops, sinks and toilets. The cleaning head may be reversible wherein opposite sides of the cleaning head may utilize certain materials to better clean different areas of the bathroom. The purpose of the invention is to provide a cleaning device and method of cleaning bathrooms that reduces the risk of slipping, falling and injuries associated with traditional methods of cleaning bathrooms (e.g., neck, back, shoulder and knee pain).
