MOP ASSEMBLY
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a mop assembly that collects falling liquids from a mop head while the mop head is oriented towards a ceiling. The assembly includes a collection bucket, the collection bucket having one or more sides and a base forming a cavity with an opening, the base having an aperture, a mop handle having a first end, the mop handle passing through the aperture, the opening of the collection bucket oriented towards the first end, and a mop head in communication with the first end, the mop head extending beyond the cavity.

The synchronous-folding-expanding connecting body has a shaft portion and two wing-plate-connecting portions respectively pivotally connected to the two wing plates. The synchronous-folding-expanding element is installed in a hole of the shaft portion, and each end of the synchronous-folding-expanding element is pivotally connected to or is gear engaged with each wing plate. The rotating sleeve connector has a sleeve portion covering an outer circumferential surface of the shaft portion and an attaching portion protruding upward from the sleeve portion to connect to the mop-holding rod.

Provided is a mopping unit including: a mop base, a head unit and a coupling element; wherein the coupling element having two parallel elongated reinforcing end segments integral with and flanking a central, coupling segment; the base, being a single-piece molded article having a bottom face and a top face; two elongated bores are formed in elongated abutments on the top face, each accommodating one of the two reinforcing end segments; the base being configured for attaching a mopping substrate on the bottom face; and wherein the head unit being pivotally coupled to said central segment to permit it to pivot about a first axis essentially parallel to said central segment and including a receptacle for an end of a mopping handle.
