Vessel Occluder

A vessel occluder used to occlude blood flow within the vasculature is described. The vessel occluder can include an expandable mesh portion having a flexible membrane that expands within a cavity of the expandable mesh portion. When expanded, the flexible membrane blocks blood passage through the mesh portion.

Embolic Containment

Devices, systems, and methods used to seal a treatment area to prevent embolic agents from migrating are described. The concept has particular benefit in allowing liquid embolic to be used with a variety of intravascular therapeutic applications, including for occluding aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations in the neurovasculature.

A catheter system utilizing one or more sensors is described. The catheter can be used as part of an embolic coil system, guidewire system, or combined embolic coil/guidewire system where the devices interact with the catheter system. A variable detachment embolic coil system and guidewire system are also described.

INTRAVASCULAR DEVICE

An intravascular device comprising: an expandable body having an expanded configuration and a contracted configuration, said expandable body in said expanded configuration having a convex curved shape having a base and walls; and a connector; wherein said connector is attached to said expandable body and recessed within said convex curved shape.

Devices and methods for treatment of a patient's vasculature may include a resilient self-expanding permeable implant having a plurality of elongate filaments secured in a hub at a proximal end of the permeable implant. Each of the plurality of elongate filaments may have a diameter between about 0.0005 and about 0.005 inches. The implant includes at least some filaments consisting of nitinol and at least some composite filaments that are drawn filled tube wires comprising an external nitinol tube and a radiopaque material concentrically disposed within the external tube. The implant has at least about 40% composite filaments relative to a total number of filaments, and wherein a total number of filaments is about 10 to about 300.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TREATING ANEURYSMS

An apparatus for treating an aneurysm in a blood vessel includes an occlusion element including a first tubular mesh having a first end and a second end coupled together at a proximal end of the occlusion element such that an intermediate portion of the first tubular mesh between the first end and the second end includes a substantially 180 degree turn, the intermediate portion of the first tubular mesh extending distally from the proximal end of the occlusion element, wherein the intermediate portion of the first tubular mesh has a collapsed configuration and is configured to expand to an expanded. In some embodiments, the apparatus further includes a second tubular mesh having a first end and a second end coupled to the proximal end of the occlusion element such that an intermediate portion of the second tubular mesh between the first end and the second end includes a substantially 180 degree turn. In some embodiments, the apparatus further comprises a cover coupled to the proximal end of the occlusion element.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TREATING ANEURYSMS

An apparatus for treating an aneurysm includes an occlusion element configured to be releasably coupled to an elongate delivery shaft and having a distal end, a proximal end, and a longitudinal axis extending between the distal end and the proximal end, the occlusion element configured to be delivered in a collapsed configuration and further configured to expand to an expanded configuration, the occlusion element comprising an inverted mesh tube having an outer layer and an inner layer, the outer layer transitioning to the inner layer at an inversion fold located at or adjacent the distal end of the occlusion element, the inversion fold defining an inner diameter, the occlusion element further comprising a maximum outer diameter, wherein the inner diameter is between about 35% to about 85% of the maximum outer diameter, and wherein an outer diameter of the occlusion element increases along the longitudinal axis to the maximum outer diameter.

Endovascular device with distal electrode

Consistent with disclosed embodiments, systems, devices, methods, and computer readable media for delivery of an endovascular instrument to a treatment site within a body may be provided. Embodiments may include a flexible, elongated sheath having a proximal end and a distal end. An embodiment may further include an inner wall of the sheath delimiting an inner lumen which may extend between the proximal end and the distal end of the sheath. The inner lumen may be sized to enable axial advancement of the endovascular instrument therethrough. The embodiments may also include at least one electrode within the distal section of the sheath. The electrode may be configured to selectively deliver an electric current through a segment of the endovascular instrument within the inner lumen.

Endovascular coil with multiple sections

Consistent with disclosed embodiments, systems, devices, methods, and computer readable media for filling a hollow body structure may be provided. In some implementations, an endovascular instrument for filling a hollow body structure may be provided and may include an elongated member configured to exhibit differing coiling properties along a length thereof. The elongated member may include a first region configured to bend within the hollow body structure to form a stabilizing frame. The elongated member may also include a second region located proximal to the first region and configured to bend, after formation of the frame, substantially within the frame, thereby forming a curved mass substantially within the frame.
