Alternative use for hydrogel intrasaccular occlusion device with a spring for structural support
The present disclosure relates to the field of endovascular treatment. More particularly, the present invention uses a modified hydrogel intrasaccular occlusion device designed to implement an endovascular treatment to ameliorating or eliminating aneurysm recurrence, which hydrogel may optionally be impregnated with pharmaceutical compounds. The present invention also teaches the use of thin hydrogel coatings to ameliorate endovascular treatment related difficulties.
Implant Delivery Device
A system for delivering an implant within a patient is disclosed. The activation of the heater coil causes the degradation, melting or reduction of a component that brings the heater coil into or out of electrical contact with another component, or causes the individual loops of the coil to contact each other, thereby resulting a notable change in resistance in the circuit supplying the heater coil with electricity. A core wire terminates prior to the distal end of the device, allowing for greater flexibility.
CATHETER SYSTEM WITH A HIGH RADIO FREQUENCY ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD
A catheter system that includes a catheter with a lumen and extends from a proximal end to a distal end of the catheter, the distal end of the catheter comprising an opening. The catheter system further includes an RF generator configured to produce an high radio frequencies. An electrode is disposed within a wall of the catheter at the distal end of the catheter. The electrode is configured to produce a high radio frequency electromagnetic field that is contained within the lumen of the catheter. A plurality of wires connects the RF generator to the electrode. The plurality of wires extend along the length of the catheter.
Alternative use for hydrogel intrasaccular occlusion device with an umbrella member for structural support
Vessel Occluder
A vessel occluder used to occlude blood flow within the vasculature is described. The vessel occluder can include an expandable mesh portion having a flexible membrane that expands within a cavity of the expandable mesh portion. When expanded, the flexible membrane blocks blood passage through the mesh portion.
Mesh disc for saccular aneurysms and cover for saccular out-pouching
The present invention teaches the uses of a disc shaped mesh intrasaccular occlusion structure, with optional supplemental hydrogel, which is designed to implement an endovascular treatment to facilitate saccular aneurysm treatment while ameliorating or eliminating aneurysm recurrence.
Vaso-occlusive device delivery system
A vaso-occlusive device delivery assembly includes a pusher assembly having proximal and distal ends, a conductive sacrificial link disposed at the distal end of the pusher assembly, and a vaso-occlusive device secured to the pusher assembly by the sacrificial link. The pusher assembly includes first and second conductors extending between the proximal and distal ends thereof. The sacrificial link is electrically coupled between the first and second conductors, such that the first conductor, sacrificial link and second conductor form an electrical circuit, and, when a disintegration current is applied through the sacrificial link through the first and second conductors, the sacrificial link thermally disintegrates, thereby releasing the attachment member and vaso-occlusive device from the pusher assembly.

Detachment mechanisms for implantable devices
Disclosed herein are detachment mechanisms for vaso-occlusive devices that allow for rapid operator-controlled release of the vaso-occlusive device into the selected site. Also disclosed are vaso-occlusive assemblies comprising these detachment mechanisms and methods of using these detachment mechanisms and vaso-occlusive assemblies.
SELF-ADAPTING FLOATING DIAMETER EMBOLIC COIL AND DELIVERY SYSTEM
A vaso-occlusive device, delivery system and method of delivery to a selected site of the vessel in a manner allowing the vaso-occlusive device to substantially assumes a diameter of an inner surface of the vessel or aneurism sac at the site of the embolization procedure. The vaso-occlusive device or embolic coil has specific properties of wanting to float and conform to the diameter of the aneurysm sac thereby enabling retractability and rapid disconnect detachment for such embolic coil, and a predetermined shape requiring fewer embolic coils per embolization procedure advantageously improving patient risk, and the cost and time of the procedure. A method for deploying the embolic coil with such specific properties to the site of an aneurysm using a delivery system configured for deploying the embolic coil features inserting, and/or reconnecting for positioning and reinserting the embolic coil.
