System and method for assisting with attachment of a stock implant to a patient tissue
A guide for assisting with attachment of a stock prosthetic implant to a patient tissue includes a lower guide surface configured to contact an upper implant surface of the stock prosthetic implant when a lower implant surface of the stock prosthetic implant contacts the patient tissue. An upper guide surface is accessible to a user when the lower guide surface is in contact with the upper implant surface. At least one guiding aperture extends through the guide body between the upper and lower guide surfaces at a predetermined aperture location with respect to the guide body and defines a predetermined target trajectory through the guide body. At least one of the target trajectory and the aperture location of each guiding aperture is preselected responsive to preoperative imaging of the patient tissue. A method of assisting with attachment of a stock prosthetic implant to a patient tissue is also provided.
SURGICAL DRILL GUIDE
Drill guides are disclosed herein that allow an implant to be partially inserted after the holes are drilled and before the drill guide has been removed from the surgical location.
PERIPROSTHETIC SHOULDER FRACTURE REPAIR
A periprosthetic fracture repair solution that provides a variety of fracture fixation options should a fracture occur after total hip, knee, or especially a total shoulder arthroplasty, and provides associated methods and apparatus for application of provided fixation. The ability to pre-engineer fracture fixation contingent solutions into humeral components provides for a distinct clinical advantage in the planning and execution for periprosthetic fracture fixation. Said methods and apparatus include targeting devices which allow for intimate association of fixed angle locking screws in pre-drilled holes in an existing prosthetic or other components including additional fixation components. Such apparatus and methods further include the use of alignment devices and other components to allow for ease of repair of periprosthetic fractures utilizing the pre-engineered solutions. Such targeting devices are required in specific circumstances as the prosthetics may prevent x-ray imaging and consequently free hand alignment.
STEREOTACTIC COMPUTER ASSISTED SURGERY METHOD AND SYSTEM
A computer assisted surgical system that includes an apparatus for imaging a region of interest of a portion of an anatomy of a subject; a memory containing executable instructions; and a processor programmed using the instructions to receive two or more two-dimensional images of the region of interest taken at different angles from the apparatus and process the two or more two-dimensional images to produce three dimensional information associated with the region of interest.
Stereotactic computer assisted surgery based on three-dimensional visualization
A computer assisted surgical system that includes an apparatus (110) for imaging a region of interest of a portion of an anatomy of a subject; a memory containing executable instructions; and a processor programmed using the instructions to receive two or more two-dimensional images of the region of interest taken at different angles from the apparatus and process the two or more two-dimensional images to produce three dimensional information associated with the region of interest.

Humeral fixation plates
Provided is a slot anchor guide that includes a medial portion and a lateral portion, the medial portion includes a medial projection configured to span a slot of a fixation plate, where the slot anchor guide is configured to guide an anchor through a predetermined position of a slot of the fixation plate and to mate with the fixation plate to allow a surgeon to place the fixation plate on a bone face by manipulating the lateral portion. Also provided is a tuberosity fracture plate that includes a tuberosity end having a first portion configured to overlay a first tuberosity and a second portion opposite the first portion, a distal portion coupled with and extending away from the tuberosity portion.

Method and a device for computer assisted surgery
A method for computer assisted determination of values of correction parameters for positioning a medical device relative to a target structure or to a reference base. The method includes a numerical procedure that includes the steps of: i) automatic detection of the projection of a cylindrical reference means in a medical image and determination of a minimum of four characteristic landmarks within the projection of the cylindrical reference means; ii) generating a virtual geometric representation of the cylindrical reference means; iii) determining the virtual projection points representing the characteristic landmarks using a virtual geometric representation of the cylindrical reference means; and iv) iterative determination of the position and orientation of the cylindrical reference means by matching the virtual projection points of the virtual geometric representation of the cylindrical reference means with the characteristic landmarks of the projection of the cylindrical reference means.
