A microsurgical handle and instrument may include an actuation structure having an actuation structure distal end and an actuation structure proximal end, a plurality of actuation arms of the actuation structure, and an actuation structure base. A compression of the actuation structure may be configured to extend the actuation structure distal end relative to the actuation structure proximal end. A compression of the actuation structure may be configured to expand an extension joint of an actuation arm of the plurality of the actuation arms. A decompression of the actuation structure may be configured to retract the actuation structure distal end relative to the actuation structure proximal end. A decompression of the actuation structure may be configured to collapse an extension joint of an actuation arm of the plurality of actuation arms.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR HEART VALVE REPAIR
A device for gathering tissue of a heart valve leaflet may include an outer tube extending in an elongated direction, a capture tool moveable in the outer tube between a contained position and a use position, and a tissue securing component disposed at a distal end of the outer tube and adapted to be applied to tissue captured by the capture tool and to hold the captured tissue in a gathered configuration. The capture tool may include two grasping members that are moveable relative to one another in the elongated direction. Each grasping member may have a proximal portion and a plurality of fingers or barbs. The grasping members may be operable to capture tissue of the heart valve leaflet therebetween and to draw the captured tissue into the outer tube in the gathered configuration.
TIP FOR LEAD EXTRACTION DEVICE
A tip engageable with an elongated sheath member for extracting a cardiac lead from an obstruction in a body vessel of a patient. The tip includes a tip body having a proximal end, a distal end, and a passageway extending therethrough. The tip body proximal end is engageable with the distal end of the sheath member distal end. The passageway of the tip is aligned with the passageway of the sheath such that the cardiac lead is receivable therein. The tip body distal portion has a plurality of sides extending circumferentially therearound, wherein the sides have respective ends and an inwardly directed radiused portion between the ends.
ULTRASONIC TREATMENT APPARATUS
An ultrasonic treatment apparatus includes a movement unit moving in accordance with at least one of an acting state of a load to a treatment section from a jaw and an opening angle of the jaw relative to the treatment section, a movement detector detecting a moving state of the movement unit, and a peak detecting section detecting a target peak of an ultrasonic impedance value. The ultrasonic treatment apparatus includes a control section controlling the peak detecting section to a detection disallowed state where a detection of the target peak is not executed when the movement unit is not placed within a prescribed range based on a detection result in the movement detector.

Surgical instrument and method
An electro-surgical instrument includes a first member extending to an end having a first electrode. A second member extends to an end having a second return electrode. The ends define a spinal tissue cavity and are relatively translatable to selectively adjust the cavity such that the electrodes are oriented to ablate, cut and/or coagulate spinal tissue. Systems and methods are disclosed.
Medical gripping device
The present invention relates to an endoscope cap with a holding and withdrawal device for a tissue clip (4) that can be placed onto a spreading sleeve (3) of the endoscope cap (1). The endoscope cap comprises an end groove (7) that opens at the front edge of the spreading sleeve (3) and that slits open the cap wall on both sides, and a withdrawal thread or web (11) that radially traverses the end groove (7) in a forward axial cap section and that is introduced or can be introduced slideably into an endoscope channel for actuation thereof at a radial inside of the endoscope cap (1).
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PERFORMING ENDOSCOPIC PROCEDURES
According to exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure, devices, systems, and methods for endoscopic procedures may include an end effector of a grasping system having a first arm and a second arm. The first and second arms may extend from a common proximal joint. The first and second arms may be formed of a self-expanding material and may have a spring force to set the arms in an unconstrained open position. The first and second arms may have an arc shape such that a distal tip of each first and second arm are configured to close as the first and second arms are actuated to a constrained closed position. A catheter may include a locating element at a distal end of a flexible tube. The locating element may be configured for locating the grasping system.
