An endoscopic instrument includes a shank (2) with an instrument head (9) arranged at the distal shank end (1) and includes a tool with two jaw parts (11, 12). The jaw parts (11, 12) are pivotable relative to one another and can be controlled from the proximal instrument end via a pull elements (5-8) led in the shank (2). At least one jaw part (11, 12) includes two curved disks (36, 37), on which the pull elements (5-8) engages in each case. Two curved disks (36, 37) of a different radial size are provided for each jaw part (11, 12). The radially larger curved disk is arranged closer to the longitudinal middle axis (14) of the tool than the radially smaller curved disk.

Medical gripping device

The present invention relates to an endoscope cap with a holding and withdrawal device for a tissue clip (4) that can be placed onto a spreading sleeve (3) of the endoscope cap (1). The endoscope cap comprises an end groove (7) that opens at the front edge of the spreading sleeve (3) and that slits open the cap wall on both sides, and a withdrawal thread or web (11) that radially traverses the end groove (7) in a forward axial cap section and that is introduced or can be introduced slideably into an endoscope channel for actuation thereof at a radial inside of the endoscope cap (1).

DISSECTING SURGICAL JAWS

Jaw assemblies for use in medical devices and systems to enable the performance of multiple modes of dissection using a single jaw assembly are provided. The jaw assembly can include a variety of features to enable this versatility. For example, the jaws can be designed to have particular curvatures that are conducive to performing particular dissection steps. Further, the jaws can have different thicknesses and widths across a length of one or more jaws to also enable particular dissection steps to be more easily performed. Still further, ridges can be formed on both inner and outer surfaces of the jaws to provide additional dissection capabilities. In some embodiments, the jaw assemblies include more than two jaws, with the timing and rate of the jaws deployment being varied for at least two of the jaws. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also provided.

Bendable suture needle with free varying angle and holder therefor

A suturing device including an outer bendable body and an inner bendable needle with a freely bendable angle includes a longitudinally extending outer hollow body having a point and a hollow passage and an inner needle portion or part disposed therein. The outer hollow body is constructed and dimensioned to receive a sized suture needle within the hollow passage with slightly close tolerances welded at its base to a point along the hollow body of the outer part and wherein the outer body includes a lower relatively stiff bendable material and an upper portion of relatively malleable material adjacent to and fixed to the lower portion. Further, the outer hollow body is more malleable as it becomes closer to the point.

Surgical devices with articulating end effectors and methods of using surgical devices with articulating end effectors

Methods and devices for using surgical devices with articulating end effectors are provided. Surgical devices with articulating end effectors can provide rotary driven pivoting of the end effector. In some embodiments, the device can include a handle, a first and a second tube extending from the handle, the second tube disposed within the first tube, and an end effector that includes a pair of distal jaws configured to move in response to rotation of the first tube about a longitudinal axis thereof and rotation of the second tube about a longitudinal axis thereof. The jaws can move in two different ways depending on whether the first and second tubes are rotating in a same direction as one another or in different ways than each other. The jaws can open/close and articulate using the same mechanical mechanism. The device can be powered, or the device can be non-powered.
