The assembly further includes a collet clamp connected to the bracket, with a ball collet rotatably seated within the clamp, the ball collet having an aperture for receiving a bone bin therethrough and perforations for a compression engagement with a bone pin. The assembly uses a single screw for threadably engaging the ball collet, the clamp and the bracket such that the position of the bone pin, ball collet and bracket are all fixed.
CRANIOFACIAL EXTERNAL DISTRACTION APPARATUS
An external distraction apparatus for performing a craniofacial distraction is disclosed. The external distraction apparatus may comprise a stationary member. The stationary member may be configured to be affixed to a head of a patient. The external distraction apparatus may also comprise laterally disposed distractors. The laterally disposed distractors may extend inferiorly from the stationary member and be moveable relative to the stationary member.
Flexible maxillo-mandibular fixation device
A system for achieving maxillo-mandibular fixation includes a bone fixation device including a bone fixation body formed from a plurality of links. The links define corresponding crests and valleys so as to impart flexibility into the bone fixation body. Thus, the bone fixation body can be aligned with the dental arch of the mandible and maxilla as necessary, and subsequently fastened to the underlying bone. Each bone fixation device includes at least one securement location on the fixation body that can attach to a securement device, such that the securement device fixes or stabilizes the mandible and the maxilla with respect to each other.
DEVICE FOR INDUCING OR CORRECTING MANDIBLE GROWTH
The present invention relates to a device for inducing or correcting mandible growth of a newborn.
The device (1) according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises: a support (100) for supporting at least one part of the rear surface of the body of the newborn, including the head, preferably in the inclined supine position, at least one extra-oral means (104, 105) for exerting a pushing force on each of the two rising branches of the mandible by means of at least one transdermal bone anchoring device (107, 108) in said branch, at least one extra-oral means (102, 103) for exerting a traction or pushing force on each of the two horizontal branches of the mandible by means of at least one transdermal bone anchoring device (106) in said branch, said extra-oral means (102, 103, 104, 105) for exerting forces being linked to the support (100) by linking means (109, 110) and to said transdermal bone anchoring devices by connection means (113, 114, 115).
The external distraction apparatus may comprise a motor and controller. The motor may be powered with the controller to perform a craniofacial distraction in an automated fashion.
Pelvic Fracture Reduction Intelligent Monitoring System
An intelligent monitoring system for pelvic fracture reduction, comprising a sample fracture model database, a patient pelvic fracture data acquisition unit, a reduction situation monitoring unit and a mixed reality data fusion processing unit, the sample fracture model database stores a plurality of sample fracture models, the patient pelvic fracture data acquisition unit uses magnetic navigation and positioning technology to collect patient pelvic location information data in real-time and upload it to the mixed reality data fusion processing unit, the mixed reality data fusion processing unit automatically invokes the sample fracture model in the sample fracture model database corresponding to patient pelvic fracture condition and matches the patient pelvic location information data with the sample fracture model using mixed reality technology to form an intelligent fracture model for the patient's pelvic fracture state, the reduction situation monitoring unit loads and displays images of the intelligent fracture model in different positions in real-time and monitors the reduction situation of different positions of the patient's pelvis in real-time. The system enhances treatment effect and reduces personnel radiation.
HEAD MOUNTED ROBOTIC SYSTEM AND METHOD
A robotic device mounted on the head of a patient has a pivoted arm that extends down to support an article, such as a part of the jaw of the patient in orthognathic surgery. The pivoted arm is on a support plate that is in turn supported by a hexapod assembly that connects with a U-shaped bracket secured to the patient's head. The hexapod is computer controlled to adjust the position of the support plate relative to the head of the patient to precisely locate the supported article on the patient, such as where a separated portion of the patient's jaw is positioned for reattachment in orthognathic surgery.
DRILL GUIDE FIXTURES, CRANIAL INSERTION FIXTURES, AND RELATED METHODS AND ROBOTIC SYSTEMS
A drill guide fixture may be configured to prepare a skull for attachment of a cranial insertion fixture. The drill guide fixture may include a central drill guide and a bone anchor guide at a base of the drill guide fixture. The central drill guide may define a central drill guide hole therethrough, wherein the central drill guide hole has a first opening at a base of the drill guide fixture and a second opening spaced apart from the base of the drill guide fixture. The bone anchor drill guide may define a bone anchor drill guide hole therethrough, and the bone anchor drill guide hole may be offset from the central drill guide hole in a direction that is perpendicular with respect to a direction of the central drill guide hole. Related cranial insertion fixtures, robotic systems, and methods are also discussed.
