ANKLE FIXATION SYSTEM
In an example, a clamping assembly includes a longitudinal member having a first end and a second end, the second end defining a first clamp, a second clamp configured to attach to the first end of the longitudinal member and connect to a rod assembly, a clamping member including a first end, a second end defining a spherical portion, and a third clamp, where the first clamp of the longitudinal member is configured to receive the second end of the clamping member.
EXTERNAL FIXATION DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
An external fixation system may have a first bone anchoring body configured to be secured to a first bone, a second bone anchoring body configured to be secured to a second bone, and a first strut assembly. The first strut assembly may have a first end configured to be removably coupled to the first bone anchoring body, a second end configured to be removably coupled to the second bone anchoring body, an intermediate portion that extends between the first end and the second end, the intermediate portion having a length that is adjustable, and a clutch mechanism. The clutch mechanism may be movable between an unlocked position in which the clutch mechanism allows both increase and reduction in the length, and a restricted position in which the clutch mechanism allows one of increase and reduction in the length while restricting the other of increase and reduction in the length.
EXTERNAL FIXATION CLAMP AND SYSTEMS FOR MEDICAL PROCEDURES
The present invention relates to an external fixation system including at least one pair of connected clamp units forming at least one clamp. Each of the clamp units includes: a first component comprising a molded metal, the first component having a first exterior surface having a plurality of voids formed therein to define a plurality of interconnected ribs and a first periphery having at least one first pin groove formed therein; and a second component mated to the first component and including a second periphery having at least one second pin groove formed therein, the at least one first pin groove and at least one second pin groove together forming a fixation pin holder. A fixation pin is held in at least one of the fixation pin holders.
External bone fixation device
The present application discloses embodiments related to an external bone fixation device configured to correct bone deformities or repair bone injuries. The device can include a plurality of bases configured to be attached to portions of a bone and a plurality of struts configured to be adjustable in length to change the position and orientation of the plurality of bases and the attached bone portions.
EXTERNAL FIXATION SYSTEM WITH MULTI-PIN CLAMP AND ATTACHMENT POST
An external fixation system for treatment of bones includes first and second clamps for locking pins that are inserted into bones. At least one clamp includes a socket having a recess. An attachment post includes a distal portion configured to be inserted into the socket recess. A tightening nut is rotationally coupled to a shaft of the attachment post and has an internal threading adapted to be threaded to the external threading of the socket. When the tightening nut is rotated to cause the distal portion of the post to be further inserted into the recess, the sides of the distal portion of the post create an interference fit with the sides of the socket recess to lock the post to the first clamp.
Bone fixation system and method using a clamping instrument to guide fastener placement
System and method for fixing bone. An exemplary system may comprise a clamping instrument, a first fastener, and a second fastener. The clamping instrument may include a first tube and a second tube. The tubes may have an adjustable separation from one another while remaining coaxially aligned with one another on an axis, and may be configured to apply pressure to opposite sides of a bone to compress the bone. The first fastener may be configured to pass through the first tube on the axis. The second fastener may be configured to attach to the first fastener and to pass through the second tube on the axis. In some embodiments, the system also may comprise an insertion tool configured to carry the second fastener into the second tube and prevent the second fastener from turning.
System for correcting bones
A bone correcting system which includes a first pin which can be connected to a bone at a first location; at least a second pin which can be connected to the bone at a second location at a distance from the first location; a telescopic fixation member which is coupled rigidly to the first and second pins for the purpose of fixing the mutual distance between the pins during the hardening phase, and which is coupled flexibly to the first and the second pins during a correction phase; and at least a first annular fixation member which is removably connected to the first pin and at least a second annular fixation member which is removably connected to the second pin for the purpose of adjusting the bone during the correction phase. This system provides an efficient, user-friendly and simple system for correcting bones, particularly in respect to bone hardening.
Bracket for external fixation of bones
A fixation system for fixing a bone fracture has a plurality of blocks, needles and rods that snap together in a framework around the fracture. The needles are inserted through the bone and the blocks are snapped onto the ends of the needles. Rods are snapped onto the blocks on both sides of the finger to keep the finger in place. Each block has two channels located on opposite sides and extending perpendicular to each other. The channels are structured so that a rod or needle having a diameter equal or slightly greater than one of the channels can be snapped into and retained by the channel.
SADAT FIXATION DEVICE AND METHOD
An external bone fixator apparatus for use in orthopedic surgery and treatments is disclosed herein. The present application relates generally to orthopedics. More specifically, the present application relates to apparatus and methods for the repair of fractures or deformities in long bones. Devices of the disclosed system enable fixation of bone fractures during reduction and other orthopedic procedures. These fixation devices may include an adjustable fixation frame having external fixation elements adapted to position Kirschner wires (K-wires) engaging the bone segments of the fracture.
Clamping assembly for external fixation system
A clamping assembly for an external fixation system, comprising a clamp body having an opening for receiving a bone fixation member; a pivotably rotatable locking arm associated with the clamp body, the locking arm being configured to provisionally hold the bone fixation member inside the opening of the clamp body; and a cam arm coupled to the locking arm, the cam arm being pivotably rotatable towards the clamp body to definitively hold the bone fixation member inside the opening of the clamp body.
