External fixation systems, and methods for immobilizing joints or fractured bones. An external fixation system may include one or more clamp assemblies connected to one or more rod assemblies at polyaxial joints. Each rod assembly may be length adjustable, and may include a one-way locking mechanism to provisionally lock the length of the rod assembly, and additional locking mechanisms to permanently lock the length of the rod assembly. The system may be deployed pre-assembled as a unit to immobilize a joint or fracture. Another external fixation system further includes a spanning member extending transverse to the rod assemblies. Two or more external fixation systems may be deployed in a stacked configuration on one set of bone pins to immobilize two joints and/or fractures. The systems may be provided in kits including guiding instrumentation, bone pins and pin clamping assemblies for connecting the bone pins to the external fixation systems.

Y-frame external bone fixator

In an embodiment of the invention, a fixator for fixating bone fractures includes a Y-frame having superior, anterior and posterior arms. The arms may be slotted and may accept mounting hardware for supporting fixation pins or transfixion pins. Various components of mounting hardware may be able to be adjusted either in discrete steps or in continuous manner, for various degrees of either translation or rotation. The Y-frame may be rigid, or may have joints that allow either angulation or arm-twisting adjustment. Arms may be provided joinable interchangeably to a hub. A kit of such parts may be provided.

PERCUTANEOUS METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND DEVICES FOR POSITIONING A GUIDE WIRE IN A BONE
20200268428 · 2020-08-27 ·

Minimally invasive percutaneous methods, devices, and systems for placing guide wires in bones in a desired position and orientation and for facilitating the treatment of fractures such as but not limited to intertrochanteric fractures or other applications such as osteotomies. The methods, devices, and systems may allow for rapid and reproducible placement of a guide wire in a bone. Each degree of freedom may be controlled independently.

Orthopedic strut with lockable swivel hinges

Provided are a telescoping, adjustable orthopedic strut for use in conjunction with an external bone fixation (EBF) device and an EBF device that employs the strut. The strut includes swivel hinges at each end, wherein each swivel hinge is lockable in any position within a one hundred eighty degree (180) plane and has a three hundred sixty degree (360) angle of rotation with respect to an orthopedic plate of the EBF device; an outer sleeve; an inner sleeve configured to slide within the outer sleeve; wherein the inner sleeve and outer sleeve may be positioned and fixed with respect to each other to provide an acute adjustment of the length of the strut; a leadscrew threaded into the inner sleeve, wherein the lead screw can be either rotated or fixed in position to provide a fine adjustment of the length of the strut.

HOLE TRANSPORTER
