External fixation system and methods of use
A clamp system includes a first clamp, a second clamp, and a fixation rod. The first clamp at least partially defines a first jaw for receiving a support rod and a central opening. The second clamp at least partially defines a second jaw for receiving a pin and a central opening. At least one of the first clamp and the second clamp comprises a boss for rotatably positioning the first clamp relative to the second clamp. The fixation rod is received in the central openings of the first clamp and the second clamp for selectively securing a position of the first clamp relative to the second clamp.
EXTERNAL FIXATION CLAMP USING A TRIGGER MECHANISM AND STORED SPRING ENERGY
An external fixation clamp for receiving a fixation element includes an inner jaw and an outer jaw movable between an open position that permits the fixation element to be placed between the inner and outer jaws and a closed position that restricts removal of the fixation element from between the inner and outer jaws. A latch assembly may cooperate with the inner and outer jaws to secure the jaws in a closed position. The latch assembly may comprise a latch and a latch biasing member. The latch may be configured to translate linearly relative to one of the inner and outer jaws, and the latch biasing member may have a first higher level of stored energy when the inner and outer jaws are in the open position and a second lower level of stored energy when the inner and outer jaws are in the closed position.
EXTERNAL FIXATOR ASSEMBLY
External fixator assemblies, systems, and methods thereof. An external fixator system may include a plurality of fixator assemblies configured to connect a plurality of pins, for example, positioned on opposite sides of a fractured bone, with one more rods. The fixator assemblies may include a plurality of clamp assemblies positioned along a shaft and which are configured to rotate relative to one another when the fixator assembly is in an unlocked position.
External fixator assembly
External fixator assemblies, systems, and methods thereof. An external fixator system may include a plurality of fixator assemblies configured to connect a plurality of pins, for example, positioned on opposite sides of a fractured bone, with one more rods. The fixator assemblies may include a plurality of clamp assemblies which are configured to rotate relative to one another when the fixator assembly is in an unlocked position.
MULTI-LOCKING EXTERNAL FIXATION CLAMP
A clamping device for attaching to an external fixation element of an external fixation system includes a first jaw having an inner surface and an outer surface and includes a second jaw having an inner surface and an outer surface, with the inner surface of the first jaw and the inner surface of the second jaw together forming a passage configured to receive the external fixation element of the external fixation system. A locking system is engageable with the first and the second jaws. A portion of the locking system is moveable relative to the first and the second jaws between a first position where the locking arrangement is configured to prevent release of the external fixation element having a first size from between the first jaw and the second jaw and a second position where the locking arrangement is configured to prevent release of the external fixation element having a second size from between the first jaw and the second jaw.
Bracket for external fixation of bones
A fixation system for fixing a bone fracture has a plurality of blocks, needles and rods that snap together in a framework around the fracture. The needles are inserted through the bone on opposite sides of the fracture and the blocks are snapped onto the ends of the needles. Rods are snapped onto the blocks on both sides of the finger to keep the finger in place. Each block has two channels located on opposite sides and extending perpendicular to each other. The channels are structured so that a rod or needle having a diameter equal or slightly greater than one of the channels can be snapped into and retained by the channel.
BONE FIXATOR WITH REMOVABLE PORTION
A bone fixator as disclosed herein includes at least one removable portion, and is particularly suitable for external fixation of the bones of the femur and tibia (knee joint), the tibia to the foot (ankle joint), the lower leg, the lower thigh, or the forearm and hand. Embodiments allow multiaxial, multiplanar movement, as well as procurvatum and recurvatum, on the anatomy to achieve optimal placement. Embodiments of the fixator includes four fixator joints, each of which is articulating with multiple degrees of freedom. Some fixator joint(s) include a linkage bar connectable to a multi-pin clamp having a quick connect mechanism. The multi-pin clamp is configured for fixation to a bone. Other fixator joint(s) may be connected to the multi-pin clamp in a semi-permanent or non-detachable manner. A telescoping rod assembly allows adjustment of the length of the fixator by a single individual.
Anchoring group for external fixator
The present disclosure relates to an anchoring group for an external fixator, that comprises a connecting body designed to be coupled to a bar of an external fixator. A locking device is connected to the connecting body at a fastening point thereof and comprises a pin locking arm provided with two seats suitable for locking a corresponding number of uni-cortical pins. A connection base is intended to be coupled to a connecting body of the anchoring group. An additional member, also associated with the connecting body, comprises at least one auxiliary seat, not aligned with the seats of the locking device, for locking an additional uni-cortical pin. In an additional embodiment, the connection base of the locking device extends in an angled relationship with respect to the pin locking arm and away from both the seats. The connection base has a point for fastening to the connecting body which is not aligned with said seats.
Anchoring group for an external fixator
An anchoring group (20) for an external fixator (1), comprising: a connecting body (11) designed to be coupled to a bar (2) of an external fixator (1), said connecting body (11) being crossed by a median plane (M); a first locking device (10) for locking first unicortical pins and connected to the connecting body (11), said first locking device (10) comprising at least one seat; and a second locking device (10) for locking second unicortical pins and also connected to the connecting body (11), said second locking device (10) comprising at least one auxiliary seat, which is not aligned with the at least one seat of the first locking device (10), said first and second locking devices (10) extending from different side of said median plane (M), wherein the connecting body (11) has at least two fastening seats (110a, 110b) for each the first and the second locking devices (10) so as to allow at least two alternative mounting configurations from each side with respect to the median plane (M) of the connecting body (11).
