The first recess has a width larger than a diameter of the second recess. The second recess has a diameter larger than the third recess. When the proximal and distal members are coupled, the first and second recesses of the proximal member are in open communication with the first, second and third recesses of the distal member.
System for connecting a connecting device, in particular a distractor, to a bone
System for connecting a connection device to a bone with a bone pin, wherein the connection device is provided with an opening for receiving the bone pin, wherein the system comprises: said connection device; a guiding tube arranged to guide the bone pin from the connection device to the bone for connecting the bone pin to the bone, wherein the inner diameter of the guiding tube corresponds to the outer diameter of the bone pin and wherein the guiding tube can be slidably received in the opening, the guiding tube being slidable with respect to the connection device along an axis parallel to a longitudinal axis of the opening; a locking device arranged to be received in the opening of the connection device and arranged to engage the bone pin for locking the bone pin with respect to the connection device, wherein the guiding tube is movable with respect to the connection device and bone pin such that the guiding tube is removable from the combination of the bone pin and the connection device and wherein the locking device is arranged to lock the bone pin after removal of the guiding tube.
PIN FASTENER WITH REMOVEABLE DRILL BIT FOR BONE FIXATOR
A fixator pin with a removable drill bit configured for simultaneously drilling a hole into bone for a fixator pin and threading or installing the fixator pin into the hole. The drill bit portion is joined to the external fixator pin via a separable connection configured as a cut-off, a frangible connection, brittle snap section, or threaded connection. The frangible connection includes at least one feature formed through an outer surface of the frangible connection. The frangible connection is configured to promote the selective separation of the drill bit from the fixator portion at the feature, which may not be separated in the case of an intramedullary pin or nail.
Dynamic external attachment device for osteosynthesis
Pair of dynamic external fixation devices (100) for the reduction of fractures of bone fragments, said devices (100) being arranged on either side of a first bone portion traversed by a first pin (10) in a proximal position and a second bone portion traversed by a second pin (11) in distal position, while each of the dynamic external fixation devices (100) includes a first body (1) having a longitudinal axis profile (X, X), having a proximal bore (5) passing through an axis (Y, Y) in combination with the first pin (10), said first body (1) being embedded in a first coil spring (8), while said first spring (8) is nested in a second coil spring (12), mounted in conjunction with a second body mounted in conjunction on said first body (1), while the second body is mounted in conjunction with the second pin (11).
Orthopaedic attachment device
An orthopaedic attachment device (1) which can adopt at least two positions, an inoperative position and a locked position. The orthopaedic attachment device comprises two clamps (2a, 2b) mounted opposite each other through a resilient member, and held by a clamping rod along a median axis by through-holes. Each of the clamps (2a, 2b) comprises a body part that comprises a outer jaw (4b) and an inner jaw (4a), connected by a joining wall (5), and which defines an opening that is designed to accommodate a stiffening bar or a pin via an insert. The opening extends inwards from the clamp (2a, 2b) as far as the joining wall (5) towards a passage and a hinge region. In the inoperative position, the outer jaw (4b) is fixed, whereas the inner jaw (4a) is moveable inwards towards the resilient member.
Quick attachment clamp for external fixation systems
Clamp (1) for an external fixator, preferably of the quick attachment type, comprising: a plurality of attachments (2; 3) for blocking bars and/or bone screws; a connector (5), provided with an at least partially threaded stem (50), which passes through and connects in series said plurality of attachments (2; 3); at least one first attachment (2) comprising two arms (20; 21), connected by a C-shaped flexible bridge (22); said stem (50) passing through said first attachment (2) in an intermediate position between said flexible bridge (22) and the opposite free ends of said arms (20; 21); wherein, at the free ends, said arms (20; 21) define a screw housing seat (23) for a bone screw, said screw housing seat being selectively configurable, varying the deformation of the flexible bridge (22), to clamp bone screws having different diameter.
External fixator assembly
External fixator assemblies, systems, and methods thereof. An external fixator system may include a plurality of fixator assemblies configured to connect a plurality of pins, for example, positioned on opposite sides of a fractured bone, with one more rods. The fixator assemblies may include a plurality of clamp assemblies which are configured to rotate relative to one another when the fixator assembly is in an unlocked position.
EXTERNAL BONE FIXATION SYSTEM
An external fixation assembly for bone fusion or separation is disclosed. The assembly includes a fracture fusion tube, with a bracket slidably engaged thereon. The assembly further includes a collet clamp connected to the bracket, with a ball collet rotatably seated within the clamp, the ball collet having an aperture for receiving a bone bin therethrough and perforations for a compression engagement with a bone pin. The assembly uses a single screw for threadably engaging the ball collet, the clamp and the bracket such that the position of the bone pin, ball collet and bracket are all fixed.
Device for mutual positioning of longitudinal building components
A clamping device for positioning longitudinal fixation elements includes (a) a first clamp having a substantially S-shape and including three clamping arms defining first and second clamp openings for receiving longitudinal fixation elements therein, the first and second clamping openings extending along channel axes corresponding to longitudinal axes of the longitudinal fixation elements to be received therein and being open to an exterior of the clamp body via insertion slots through which the longitudinal bone fixation elements are insertable into the first and second clamp openings laterally relative to the channel axes; (b) a second clamp including first and second clamping arms defining a third clamp opening therebetween for receiving a longitudinal fixation element; (c) a first borehole extending through the three arms of the first clamp and the first and second arms of the second clamp along a first axis; (d) a shaft extending through the first borehole; and (e) a locking member engagable with the shaft to lock the locking elements within the first and second clamps and prevent rotation of the first and second clamps relative to one another about the first axis.
