Surgical fastener
A surgical fastener for use in posterior surgeries that require fusion between the occiput and pelvis. Among other things, the surgical fastener includes a cutter for cutting bone or other tissue.
SACRAL-ILIAC STABILIZATION SYSTEM
The present invention provides a sacral-iliac plate having an iliac portion with a first screw hole for receiving a first fastener to secure the iliac portion to the iliac bone. A sacral portion integrated monolithically with the iliac portion is also provided with a second and third screw holes for receiving second and third fasteners to secure the sacral portion to the sacral bone. The sacral portion also includes a tulip for receiving and securing a spinal rod.
Sacroiliac Joint Stabilization And Fixation Devices And Related Methods
An anchor device for use in sacroiliac joint stabilization comprises a housing having a bore, one or more apertures, and a threaded outer surface, one or more engagement members at least partially disposed in the housing, where at least one of the one or more engagement members is movable between a retracted position and an extended position such that, when the at least one of the one or more engagement members is in the extended position, the at least one of the one or more engagement members extends through at least one of the one or more apertures, and where, when the at least one of the one or more engagement members is in the extended position, the at least one of the one or more engagement members is configured to engage a cortical wall of a sacrum bone.
Adjustable occipital plate
An adjustable occipital plate includes a fixation plate, at least one lateral rod configured to be coupled to said fixation plate, at least one laterally sliding link configured to be coupled to and configured to be compressed around said at least one lateral rod to create a friction fit, and at least one rod connector coupled to said at least one laterally sliding link that is configured to receive at least one posterior cervical rod.
Device and method for treatment of spinal deformity
The present invention generally relates to methods and device for treatment of spinal deformity, wherein at least one tether is utilized to maintain the distance between the spine and the an ilium to (1) prevent increase in abnormal spinal curvature, (2) slow progression of abnormal curvature, or (3) impose at least one corrective displacement and/or rotation.
Systems and methods for fusing a sacroiliac joint and anchoring an orthopedic appliance
An orthopedic anchoring system for attaching a spinal stabilization system and concomitantly fusing a sacroiliac joint is disclosed that includes a delivery tool and an implant assembly for insertion into a joint space of a sacroiliac joint. The implant assembly may be secured using anchors inserted through bores within the implant body and into the underlying sacrum and/or ilium. The implant body may also include an attachment fitting reversibly attached to a guide to provide attachment fittings for elements of the spinal stabilization system. The implant assembly may be releasably coupled to an implant arm of the delivery tool such that the implant arm is substantially aligned with the insertion element of the implant assembly. An anchor arm used to insert the anchor may be coupled to the implant arm in a fixed and nonadjustable arrangement such that the anchor is generally aligned with a bore within the implant assembly.
Method and Device for Endoscopic Endonasal Occipitocervical Fusion
A novel endonasal method for occipitocervical fusion is provided. This new method provides a minimally invasive advance in the ability of surgeons to treat pathology of the craniocervical junction. The method uses an implant system comprising a body having a spacer section that engages with the occipital condyle and a plate section that engages with the C1 lateral mass. Fasteners fix the plate section with the occipital condyle the plate section with the C1 lateral mass.
JOINT FUSION IMPLANT AND METHODS
An implant for fusing a joint between first and second bone portions. The implant includes a screw member, and a washer polyaxially rotatable relative to the screw member. The screw member includes a head, a lag zone, and a threaded engagement zone. The implant includes a fusion zone for joint compression, extending from the washer to the proximal end of the engagement zone. Fenestrations may be present in the fusion zone. The length of the fusion zone ranges from about 10 mm to about 37 mm. Different surface finishes including roughened and non-roughened may be applied selectively to selected portions of the implant. In an embodiment, the joint is a sacro-iliac joint, and upon implantation the implant extends from the exterior of the ilium, across the joint and into the sacral vertebral body. Instrumentation and methods for preparing the joint and implanting the implant are disclosed.
SPINAL IMPLANT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LUMBAR AND LUMBOSACRAL FUSION
A spinal implant comprises an implant body extending between an anterior surface and a posterior surface, and including a first vertebral engaging surface and a second vertebral engaging surface. The implant body includes an inner surface that defines at least a first cavity and a second cavity. The cavities are oriented to implant fasteners in alignment with an oblique surgical pathway relative to a bilateral axis of a subject body and adjacent an anterior portion of an intervertebral space of the subject body. Systems and methods are disclosed.
