Systems and methods for implantation of spinal plate
11523867 · 2022-12-13 · ·

A method includes tracking one or more of a plurality of vertebrae of a patient, planning a planned alignment of the plurality of vertebrae, creating an implant placement plan based on the planned alignment, and robotically preparing the plurality of vertebrae to receive an implant in accordance with the implant placement plan.

Spinal plate bender
11517356 · 2022-12-06 · ·

A spinal plate bender includes an actuation assembly, a collet, and a head portion. The actuation assembly includes a housing, a lever pivotably coupled to the housing, a linkage pivotably coupled to the lever, and an actuation shaft operatively coupled with the linkage. The lever is transitionable between a neutral position and an actuated position, which imparts axial displacement to the actuation shaft. The collet includes a proximal section, a sleeve section extending distally from the proximal section, and a coupling section extending distally from the sleeve section. The head portion is configured to support a spinal plate. The head portion includes an anvil portion coupled to a distal end portion of the actuation shaft. The anvil portion is configured to engage a spinal plate to cause bending of a spinal plate supported in the head portion.

Nonmetallic implant screw locking structure

The invention provides a nonmetal implant screw locking structure, which has the advantages of simple structure, novel design, simple production and processing, and convenient clinical operation. In addition, the structure of the invention can be used for orthopedic nonmetal implants such as the bone injury repair plate, spinal fusion cage, spinal fixation plate, posterior cervical single trapdoor plate, posterior cervical plate, lumbar anterior plate and lumbosacral plate, bringing good economic and social benefits gradually.

Thoracolumbar plate with cam lock
11510708 · 2022-11-29 ·

A plate assembly for engaging at least two vertebral bodies of a human spine along the anterior aspect of the spine has a plate and at least two cam locks. The plate has a lower surface for contacting the vertebral bodies and an upper surface opposite to said lower surface. The plate assembly has a plurality of bone fastener receiving holes extending through said plate assembly from said upper surface to said lower surface. The plate has at least a first pair and second pair of said bone fastener receiving holes. The first pair is associated with a first of the vertebral bodies. The second pair is associated with a second of the vertebral bodies. A recess is associated with each of said at least first pair and second pair of said bone fastener receiving holes.

Spinal implant system and methods of use

A spinal implant includes an intermediate portion and a first portion extending in a transverse orientation from the intermediate portion. The first portion includes an inner surface connectable with vertebral tissue adjacent a lamina. A second portion is spaced from the first portion and extends in a transverse orientation from the intermediate portion. The second portion includes an inner surface connectable with vertebral tissue adjacent a lamina. At least one of the first portion and the second portion includes an outer surface having a mating element engageable with a mating element of a surgical instrument. Systems, surgical instruments and methods are disclosed.

Bioabsorbable implant combined with tissue-engineered composite intervertebral disc

The present disclosure describes an intervertebral disk replacement system. The system can include a tissue-engineered intervertebral disc that is combined with a bioresorbable stabilization system for structural guidance. The system can prevent or reduce intervertebral disk implant displacement and can increase the stiffness when compared to the implantation of the intervertebral disk implant without the stabilization system.

Polyaxial bone plate and locking assembly
11504174 · 2022-11-22 · ·

A bone plate and one or more locking assemblies that help prevent screw backout without impinging on therapeutically valuable settling of the screws. In some cases, the locking assembly is configured to be attached to the plate, to be securely but efficiently locked, to be readily unlocked for revision surgery, and/or to reduce the possibility of operator error in installation by providing simplified visible and tactile indicia of the locked and unlocked positions.

Implant for bones or vertebrae with self-constrained flexibility

An implant for the stabilization of bones or vertebrae is provided, the implant being a solid body including a longitudinal axis that defines a longitudinal direction and including a flexible section that has a surface and has a length in the longitudinal direction, the flexible section including at least one cavity located near the surface and having a width in the longitudinal direction that is smaller than the length of the flexible section, the at least one cavity being connected to the surface through at least one slit, and a width of the slit in the longitudinal direction being smaller than the width of the cavity.
