10327821 · 2019-06-25 · ·

The present application is directed to devices and methods for treating vertebral fractures with one or more bone pins. In one embodiment of a method, a fractured vertebral body may be accessed through a pedicle portion and an opening may be created therethrough. One or more bone pins may be inserted through the opening. In one embodiment, at least one of the inserted bone pins is inserted to extend across a fracture zone with a proximal portion of the pin engaging a first bone segment and a distal portion engaging a second bone segment. The pin or pins may be manipulated to immobilize the first and second portions of the fractured vertebra.

Spinal Stabilization System With Adjustable Interlaminar Devices

An adjustable spinal stabilization system for maintaining preselected spacing and movement between adjacent vertebrae in a spinal column and for providing overall stability thereto. The system includes at least one interlaminar member positioned in the spaces intermediate a first vertebra and the vertebrae positioned immediately above or immediately below and adjacent to the first vertebra. The interlaminar member is operatively connected to an adjustable support structure and cooperates therewith to maintain the preselected spacing between adjacent vertebrae and to provide overall stability to the spinal column.

Laminoplasty devices and methods

Laminoplasty plates are engageable to at least one portion of a divided lamina to maintain a desired spacing relative to the spinal canal. The laminoplasty plates include a spacer portion having a first end and a second end that spans a gap formed by at least one of a divided lamina portion. The laminoplasty plates can include a lamina engagement portion at one end for engagement with the divided lamina portion.

The present disclosure provides an operation method for bone tissue. The operation method for bone tissue includes: providing a first implantation device and a second implantation device, where the first implantation device includes a hollowed structure, an adapter structure is arranged in the hollowed structure, and at least a portion of an outer side wall of a bottom of the second implantation device is provided with a corresponding adapter structure to be fixedly connected to the adapter structure; proceeding to a location step, where the first implantation device penetrates a first vertebral segment, so as to cause the hollowed structure to face an end face of a second vertebral segment and make surface contact with the second vertebral segment, pre-locate the first vertebral segment and the second vertebral segment, and make the first vertebral segment and the second verteral segment self-adapted to adjacent vertebrae; and proceeding to a fixation step, where the second implantation device penetrates from the bottom thereof the hollowed structure to be fixedly connected to the second vertebral segment, and the second implantation device is fixedly connected to the hollowed structure by means of fixed connection between the corresponding adapter structure and the adapter structure, thereby reducing a stress and avoiding re-adjustment of adjacent vertebrae in location. The present disclosure further provides an operation system for bone tissue.

Devices and methods for performing a cervical laminoplasty procedure on a patient. An exemplary device includes a primary instrument having a proximal portion and a distal portion, a secondary instrument having a distal portion, and an implant plate assembly having an implant plate and an implant post. The distal portion of the primary instrument can be configured to engage the implant post of the implant plate assembly. A lateral side of the implant plate can engage a lateral portion of a lamina of a vertebra, and a medial side of the implant plate can engage a medial portion of a lamina of a vertebra. The implant plate can be bent and a corresponding adjustment in an angle between the lateral and medial portions of the lamina can be achieved.
