A guide device for an orthopedic surgery on a phalange includes a distal part having a pin guide is provided. The distal part includes a first opening having a first diameter at a proximal end for inserting at least a portion of a phalange into a tubular section of the distal part, and a second opening at a distal end. The pin guide is connected to the distal end, having a first length which is shorter than a length of a k-wire inserted into the phalange, and a second diameter which is greater than a diameter of the k-wire, and less than the first diameter. In certain embodiments the guide device further includes a proximal part having an aperture for inserting the phalange and a plurality of fasteners, for fastening the proximal part to the distal part.

Systems and methods for implanting surgical implants

The present invention relates to an implant system that comprises an implant, a handle configured to removably receive the implant, and, in some embodiments, a spacer tool configured to be mounted on the implant. In further embodiments, a k-wire is employed to guide the implant to a desired location. The handle has a hole for receiving a first portion of the implant. Using the handle to implant the implant, along with an associated spacer, provides a quick and convenient method for implanting the implant as described herein and in the associated drawings.

Interphalangeal fusion implant

An interphalangeal fusion implant comprising a threaded shank and a head, the head having a body portion having first and second laterally spaced fins, each of which has a plurality of axially spaced serrations, some of the serrations terminating at the laterally outermost ends at substantial single points. A driver for implanting an interphalangeal fusion implant comprising an elongate body, a receiving formation having at least two radially extending outward projections, and a pear shaped portion extending along a central axis of the body. A method of fusing a first phalanx and a second phalanx using an interphalangeal fusion implant.

An implantable orthopedic repair device includes an implant body having a rigid tubular shape which defines an inner lumen and an orthogonal suture side hole in communication with the inner lumen. The implantable orthopedic repair device includes a tension assembly that is supported by the inner lumen and suture side hole of the implant body. The tension assembly includes a suture loop which defines a suture tail and a sliding knot that when tensioned contracts at least one bone anchor, independent of the implant body, unidirectionally towards the implant body.

Intraosseous sliding osteotomy system and method

A system includes an intraosseous sliding osteotomy (ISO) plate including a body extending between a first end, a second end, a first surface, a second surface, and a perimeter wall. The body defines at least one fastener aperture extending from the first surface to the second surface. A plate handle is configured to be coupled to the ISO plate. The plate handle includes a body including a handle portion and a head portion. The head portion defines at least one aperture. A locking element includes a locking portion sized and configured to extend through the at least one aperture defined in the head portion of the plate handle to couple the plate handle to the ISO plate.
