ORTHOPEDIC SCREWS AND CANNULATED ORTHOPEDIC SCREWS COMPRISING A TIP, A HEAD, AND A SHAFT THAT COMPRISES A THREAD HAVING A PLURALITY OF GROOVES
Orthopedic screws are provided that include a tip, a head, and a shaft extending between the tip and the head. The shaft comprises a shaft core and at least one thread. The thread is disposed helically along the shaft, extends radially from the shaft, and has a plurality of grooves oriented transversely with respect to the thread. The plurality of grooves define a series of thread segments and thread slots along the thread. The shaft core is solid from the tip to the head. Cannulated orthopedic screws also are provided that include a shaft core that is hollow from the tip to the head and that defines a lumen extending from a tip opening to a head opening. Methods of use of the orthopedic screws and the cannulated orthopedic screws also are provided.
Femur Plate
A femur plate is provided, the femur plate comprising a first end portion anatomically pre-formed to conform to a trochanter region of the femur and a second end portion anatomically pre-formed to conform to a condyle region of the femur, wherein the second end portion comprises at least one first opening configured to receive a bone fastener. The femur plate further comprises an elongate shaft extending from the first end portion to the second end portion, the elongate shaft comprising at least one second opening configured to receive a bone fastener. Furthermore, a periprosthetic implant system comprising the femur plate and a method of implanting the femur plate are provided.
Fused femoral stem system
The present invention provides a fused femoral stem system, including a curved short handle, a fixing mechanism and a femoral head prosthesis, one end of the curved short handle is provided with a conical connector, the conical connector is cooperatively connected with a conical connecting hole of the femoral head prosthesis, the other end of the curved short handle is inserted from the osteotomy surface of the femoral neck and stretches to the position of a medullary cavity below a small trochanter, and the curved short handle is connected and fixed with a large trochanter through the fixing mechanism. The present invention has the beneficial effects that, after the growing-in osseointegration with the sclerotin surrounding the proximal bone bed of the host after the surgery of the whole system, the mechanical influence on the retained femoral neck and the sclerotin in the vicinity of the large and small trochanters is substantially similar to the biomechanical state prior to the surgery.
Sleeve for bone fixation device
Disclosed is a bone fixation device of the type useful for connecting two or more bones or bone fragments together or connecting soft tissue or tendon to bone. The device comprises an elongate body having a distal anchor thereon. An axially moveable proximal anchor is carried by the proximal end of the fixation device, to accommodate different bone dimensions and permit appropriate tensioning of the fixation device. A sleeve can surround at least a portion of the bone fixation device to promote bone in-growth with or at the bone joint or fracture to facilitate fusion of the bone segment.

An engineered medical device for treatment of osteonecrosis is provided where the size, porosity and ceramic content of the device can be personalized based on an individual patient's anatomical and physiological condition. The device distinguishes different segments mimicking anatomically-relevant cortical and cancellous segments, in which the cortical segments of the device can sustain mechanical loading, and the cancellous segment of the device can promote bone ingrowth, osteogenesis and angiogenesis.

Devices, methods and systems for remedying or preventing fractures of the bone are disclosed. The devices, and corresponding methods and systems, may include first and second members each having a proximal end, a distal end and a middle portion and an outer surface. The first member may be configured to be positioned at least partially within the femoral neck of the femur. The second member may be configured to be oriented at an oblique angle relative to the first member and mechanically engaged with the first member through an interlocking connection between the distal end of the second member and the middle portion or the distal end of the first member.
