MULTI-DIAMETER BONE PIN FOR INSTALLING AND ALIGNING BONE FIXATION PLATE WHILE MINIMIZING BONE DAMAGE
20230200870 · 2023-06-29 ·

A driving pin can be used for installing a bone plate on a bone. In some examples, the driving pin has a driving pin body extending from a proximal end to a distal end. The driving pin body may define at least three regions of different cross-sectional thickness, including a bone penetrating region adjacent the distal end, a driving region adjacent the proximal end, and a bone plate orienting region between the bone penetrating region and the driving region. In general, the bone penetrating region has a smaller cross-sectional thickness than the bone plate orienting region and the bone plate orienting region has a smaller cross-sectional thickness than the driving region. The bone plate orienting region may be sized to conform to the size of a fixation hole extending through bone plate.

The present invention relates to a bone anchoring device including a plate configured to be attached to a fractured bone and having a plurality of fastening holes to support the fractured bone, in which at least one of the fastening holes is formed in a rectangular shape having an opening portion elongated in a longitudinal direction, a clip configured to be inserted into the rectangular fastening hole and capable of slipping in the longitudinal direction in the rectangular fastening hole, and an anchoring screw configured to be fastened into the clip and fastened into the bone. According to the present invention, it is possible to adjust a position and insertion angle of the bone anchoring screw and improve compatibility between bone anchoring components.

PROXIMAL HUMERAL STABILIZATION SYSTEM

Devices, systems, and methods for bone stabilization, especially proximal humeral stabilization. The stabilization system may include a bone plate having an elongated portion extending along a longitudinal axis and an enlarged head portion extending from the elongated portion. The stabilization system may include an intramedullary nail having an upper portion and a lower portion extending from the upper portion, the upper portion and the lower portion including a plurality of holes. A plurality of fasteners may be configured to extend through one or more of the plurality of through holes in the bone plate and/or one or more of the plurality of holes in the intramedullary nail and into the bone. The plate and nail may each be used alone or in combination together to stabilize a fracture in a long bone, such as a humerus.

Bone plates for engaging bone members are described herein. The bone plates can receive one or more screws to secure the bone plates to an underlying bone member. The one or more screws can be inserted into bone plate holes that can be considered locking or non-locking. The bone plates described herein can have particular combinations of locking and/or non-locking holes. The bone plates can include features that accommodate the underlying anatomy of different types of bone, such as the condylar region of a femur.

A bone fixation device includes (a) a threaded shaft extending from a proximal end to a distal end; (b) a head located at the proximal end of the shaft; (c) a connector threadably engaging the threaded shaft and movable therealong; and (d) an extension member movable between an insertion configuration for insertion through an opening in a cortex of a bone to a locked configuration when pressed against an inner surface of the cortex. The profile of the wing in the locked configuration in the plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the shaft is increased relative to the insertion configuration to distribute forces transmitted between the bone fixation apparatus and the bone over an increased area of the cortex.

OSTEOSYNTHESIS DEVICE COMPRISING AT LEAST ONE FIXATION PIN

Disclosed is an osteosynthesis device including at least one fixation pin suitable for being implanted in a bone material so as to ensure an at least partial reduction of a bone fracture, which osteosynthesis device includes a locking unit designed to lock in position the fixation pin implanted in the bone material. The locking unit can include: a support structure provided with a unit that enables its fixing on the bone material, and including a locking aperture suitable for being passed through by the fixation pin; and a clamping designed to be fitted in the locking aperture and to come into abutment against a part of the fixation pin in order to ensure its locking in position.

Stand alone intervertebral fusion device

An angled fixation device, such as an angled screw. This angled fixation device may be used by the surgeon to secure a spacer to a spinal disc space. The proximal end portion of the angled fixation device is driven perpendicular to the anterior wall of the spacer, and so is parallel to the vertebral endplates and in-line with the inserter. The distal end portion of the angled fixation device is oriented at about a 45 degree angle (plus or minus 30 degrees) to the vertebral endplate it enters.

BONE PLATE, SURGICAL SETS AND RECONSTRUCTION SETS

A bone plate for reconstruction or trauma treatment of a bone which comprises first and second ends, a first contact surface for contacting and securing on a first region of the bone, and a plurality of receiving mechanism each having at least one opening for receiving at least one securing element. At least two adjacent wings extend at least from the first end of the main section, each has a second contact surface for contacting and securing to a second region of the bone, as well as at least one receiving mechanism having at least one opening for each receiving a securing element. A minimum bending stiffness of the main section, in relation to an axis (x) running perpendicular to the first contact surface, is greater than the minimum bending stiffnesses of the wings, but smaller than the total minimum bending stiffness of all wings extending from the first end.

PLANTAR BONE FUSION PLATE

A plantar bone plate and a method are provided for treating fractures of metatarsal bones. The plantar bone plate comprises a generally elongate member having an upper surface and a lower, bone contact surface. Two or more fixation apertures and a compression slot are disposed along a longitudinal dimension of the elongate member. The fixation apertures receive fasteners suitable for fastening the plantar bone plate to a metatarsal bone. The compression slot receives a fastener at an oblique angle for compressing adjacent portions of the metatarsal bone so as to encourage bone fusion. A curvature along the elongate member is configured to mate the plantar bone plate with the anatomy of the plantar aspect of the metatarsal bone. In one embodiment, the curvature is comprised of at least a first bend and a second bend, such that the plantar bone plate mates with the plantar anatomy of the 5.sup.th metatarsal.
