Bone graft delivery revolver
A device for loading bone graft material into a delivery tube is provided herein. The device includes a housing defining a reservoir for receiving bone graft, a magazine at least partially disposed within the housing, and an actuation member coupled to the housing for discharging the bone graft material into the delivery tube. The magazine defines a first chamber and a second chamber and is moveable between a first position in which the first chamber is in communication with the reservoir and a second position in which the second chamber is in communication with the reservoir. The actuation member includes a plunger configured to slide into the first chamber and the second chamber to discharge bone graft material, when bone graft material is contained therein, into the delivery tube. Methods of loading bone graft material are also provided.
DEVICE ADAPTED FOR LATERAL ENGAGEMENT OF AN ELONGATED MEMBER
A device for accessing extra articular lesions or abnormalities or intra osseous lesions or abnormalities or bone marrow lesions using intra articular localization has a guide, a locating arm, a set of attachment assemblies and a tubular sleeve. The device comprises a device body and an attachment assembly mounted on the device body. The attachment assembly includes a main body and at least one closure body. The main body has an elongated recess therein. The elongated recess is configured for receiving an elongated member therein along an entire length thereof. The at least one closure body is rotatably mounted on the main body. The elongated member may be positioned within the elongated recess via lateral movement when the at least one closure body is in a first rotational position relative to the main body. The elongated member may be retained within the elongated recess when the at least one closure body is moved away from the first rotational position toward a second rotational position relative to the main body.
KNEE SIZING TOOL AND SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR USE IN TOTAL KNEE REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE
A diameter sizing tool for use in reversion of total knee arthroplasty, the diameter sizing tool including a body having an upper surface, a lower surface, and a peripheral edge, a central cutout disposed through the body from the upper surface to the lower surface, and a plurality of sizing through-holes circumferentially disposed in the body and radially towards the peripheral edge.
ORTHOPAEDIC SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS FOR DIRECT ANTERIOR APPROACH HIP ARTHROPLASTY AND METHODS OF USE
Orthopaedic instruments for use in a direct anterior approach orthopaedic surgical hip replacement procedure on a patient's femur are disclosed. One such orthopaedic instrument may be embodied as a cement nozzle sized for insertion in a medullary canal of the patient's femur. The cement nozzle may include a first lumen for introducing a bone cement composition into the medullary canal. The cement nozzle may also include a second lumen for removing one or more bodily fluids from the medullary canal during introduction of the bone cement composition. The first and second lumens may each be curved along a distal portion of the cement nozzle.
NAVIGATION INSTRUMENTS FOR SUBCHONDRAL BONE TREATMENT
An instrument for navigating to a target area near a subchondral defect of a bone and associated methods are disclosed. The instrument can include a body portion having a patient specific surface defining a negative impression of a portion of a skin surface of a patient, and a targeting device coupled to the body portion, the targeting device including a rail and at least one device portal configured to guide a device into a subchondral region of the bone for treatment at the target area.
Bone treatment systems and methods
A system for delivering bone cement into a bone is provided. The system can include a hydraulic system actuatable to deliver a bone cement mixture from a bone cement container, through a cannula and into a bone. The hydraulic system can have more than one pressure relief mechanism for decreasing pressure in the hydraulic system to cease delivery (e.g., substantially instantaneously) of the bone cement into the bone.
DEVICE IN THE FORM OF A KIT FOR MIXING AND INJECTING A BONE CEMENT
A device in the form of a kit for mixing and injecting a bone cement is described, in which a mixing unit and a transfer unit are two units distinct from and independent of each other, with no element in common, and are designed to be connected alternately, that is to say successively, to the same end of a hollow cylindrical body or mixing body of a main module, before this main module is connected to an injection unit via its other end.
Method for deploying a fusion device for sacroiliac joint fusion
A method for fusing a spinal sacroiliac joint and a surgical kit. The kit includes a bone-void filler, stabilization device or implant, a guide pin, a joint locator, a set of dilation tubes, a reamer, a novel directional cannula, a novel tapping cap, a novel drill guide, a drill bit, and a novel implant positioner. The method includes the steps of locating the sacroiliac joint, retracting the soft tissue exposing the graft site, removing any bone obstructions and preparing a relatively smooth graft site horizontal to the immediate sacroiliac joint, creating a cavity in the ilium and sacrum to a predetermined depth that spans the sacroiliac joint, inserting a novel stabilization implant into the cavity, and seating the implant within the cavity at a predetermined depth.
Cartridge system having connected feed plungers
Cartridge system for mixing and applying a mix of a medical cement. Cartridges are arranged parallel to each other and an outlet opening. The cartridges each comprise at least one opening that connect(s) the cartridges to the outlet opening, and the cartridges are bordered laterally through cartridge walls. Each cartridge comprises a feed plunger for expelling starting components of the mix from the cartridges through the openings. The feed plungers are fixedly connected to each other through at least one fin. The cartridge walls of the cartridges are connected through the fin(s). The walls comprise slits that are arranged parallel to the cartridge axis, whereby the width of the slits is well-suited for taking up the fin or fins, and the at least one fin moves through regions of the slits when the feed plungers perform a motion in the cartridges.
DEVICE FOR APPLYING BONE REPLACEMENT PASTES
Device (1) for applying bone replacement pastes or bone cements, wherein the device (1) comprises: A) a container-like base part (4) with a first end (5), a second end (6) and a cavity (7), which defines a first longitudinal axis (3), is closed at the first end (5) and is open at the second end (6); and B) a filling piston (8) which can be inserted slidably into the cavity (7) and has a second longitudinal axis (10) and two or more hollow spaces (9) which extend through the filling piston (8) coaxially or parallel to the second longitudinal axis (10) and into which the cannula (13) of the applicator (2) can optionally be inserted.
