Methods of loading bone graft material are also provided.
Device for mixing a bone cement with hollow space for monomer transfer
One embodiment relates to a device for the production of a bone cement dough from a monomer liquid and a cement powder comprising a cartridge with an internal space; a cartridge head with a dispensing opening; a conveying plunger that is arranged in the internal space of the cartridge and is supported in the internal space of the cartridge such that it is pushable in the direction of the dispensing opening; a dispensing plunger between the dispensing opening and the conveying plunger that is supported in the internal space of the cartridge such that it is pushable in the direction of the dispensing opening; a first hollow space, in which the cement powder is arranged; a second hollow space that is bordered by the dispensing plunger and the conveying plunger; a fluid opening that is arranged in the conveying plunger; a feedthrough that connects the first hollow space and the second hollow space to each other, and a closure means that is arranged on a rear side of the dispensing plunger. The closure means projects away from the dispensing plunger and is situated at a distance from the fluid opening. The fluid opening is closable with the closure means. The closure means is mobile in the closed fluid opening such that the fluid opening stays closed, while the conveying plunger is pushable further in the direction of the dispensing plunger.
Bone cement mixing assembly
The invention provides a bone cement mixing assembly including a mixer, a syringe barrel and a movable plug cover. The mixer includes a stirring rod and a stirring barrel. The stirring rod has holding end, a rod body and a stirring end. The stirring barrel has a barrel cover, a first barrel open, a first barrel body, a first barrel bottom, and a stirring space located in the first barrel body. The syringe barrel has a second barrel open, a second barrel body, a second barrel bottom, and an injection space located in the second barrel body. In this way, the complete-stirred bone cement in the stirring barrel can be directly collected and pushed into the syringe barrel through the movement of the movable plug cover to achieve the effect of completing the preparation of the bone cement quickly and efficiently.
BONE MATERIAL DISPENSING APPARATUS AND METHODS
A bone material dispensing apparatus for preparing, mixing, and dispensing bone material into a foldable container is provided. In some embodiments, the dispensing apparatus comprises a tray and a foldable container. The tray includes a mixing surface, a dispensing surface and a means to measure the amount of material to be dispensed. A kit including a tray, a foldable container, and a spatula are also provided. A method of using the dispensing apparatus to deliver the bone material to a bone detect is also provided.
BONE MATERIAL HYDRATION DEVICES AND METHODS
A device for hydrating particulate bone material is provided. The device comprises a tubular member having an interior surface and an exterior surface. The interior surface is configured to receive the particulate bone material and a hydration fluid. The exterior surface has a plurality of pores configured to allow the hydration fluid to flow into the interior surface of the tubular member and hydrate the particulate bone material. The plurality of pores are smaller in size than the particulate bone material. Methods of dispensing particulate the bone material are also provided.
Graft filter with locking graft filter element and graft extractor
A device for collecting a bone graft material comprises a canister extending defining a filter-receiving space therein, the canister including a connection for connecting to a vacuum source, a proximal end of the canister including a first locking feature and a filter element sized and shaped to be received within the filter-receiving space of the canister, the filter element including a channel extending therethrough, the channel defined via a mesh material and a proximal end of the filter element including a second locking feature releasably engageable with the first locking feature of the canister via a rotation of the filter element about a longitudinal axis thereof relative to the canister in combination with an extractor sized and shaped to be received within the channel of the filter element, the extractor defining a graft material receiving space therein and being releasably engageable with the extractor.
STORAGE AND MIXING DEVICE FOR BONE CEMENT WITH A PRESSURE PUMP
A storage and mixing device for two-component polymethyl methacrylate bone cements having a cylindrical interior of a cartridge that is delimited on a front side by a cartridge head, a plunger arranged to be axially movable in the cylindrical interior of the cartridge and spaced from the cartridge head, a powdery first parent component of the bone cement, that is contained in the interior between the plunger and the cartridge head, a feed-through arranged in the cartridge head or in the cylinder barrel of the cartridge between the plunger and the cartridge head. The feed-through is connectable to a fluid line, a receptacle for a monomer liquid, wherein the fluid line connects the feed-through to the receptacle in a liquid-permeable manner, and a press-out device pushable into the receptacle, so that monomer liquid is pressable out of the receptacle into the fluid line. The plunger (2) is spaced from a back side of the cylindrical interior, located opposite the front side, so that, by moving the plunger in the direction of the back side, the press-out device is pushable into the receptacle and a reduced pressure is producible in the interior of the cartridge between the plunger and the cartridge head.
STORAGE AND MIXING DEVICE FOR PRODUCING A BONE CEMENT
A storage and mixing device for PMMA bone cements having a cylindrical interior of the cartridge that is delimited on a front side by a cartridge head with a closed delivery opening, a plunger which is arranged to be axially movable in the cylindrical interior of the cartridge and which is spaced from the cartridge head.
