20230123742 · 2023-04-20 ·

An implantable orthopedic support device and methods of using the device are disclosed. The device can have rigid structural components that can translate longitudinally with respect to each other, and in so doing can change the vertical height of the device. The structural components can be driven by a drivescrew mechanism to change the vertical height of the device.

Disc space sizing devices

A spacing device is provided for adjusting or measuring the spacing between adjacent vertebral bodies. The spacing device has a distal end with at least one distraction member adapted for insertion into an intervertebral disc space and movable between a low profile first configuration and a higher profile second configuration. Also provided is an actuator for moving the distraction member between the first configuration (for delivery of the distal end of the spacing device to a target disc space) and the second configuration (for manipulation or measurement of the space between adjacent vertebral bodies).

Adjustable implant

An adjustable implant (10, 60, 70, 80, 90) has a base (12) and a displaceable element (16) providing opposing tissue contact surfaces (14, 18). A linkage (20, 26) is pivotally connected to the displaceable element. A linkage mover (38, 40), engaged so as to be displaceable along the base, is associated with the linkage (20, 26) so as to define a displaceable pivot location (24, 30) for pivotal motion of the linkage relative to the base, in certain preferred embodiments, the base (12) has an internally threaded track (42, 44) in which a threaded segment of the linkage mover (38, 40) is engaged, so that rotation of the threaded segment about its central axis advances the linkage mover along the threaded track, thereby displacing the displaceable pivot locations and adjusting a separation between the first contact surface and at least part of the second contact surface.

A medical balloon device includes an outer member extending along an axis. An inflatable member has a proximal end extending from a first end of the outer member and a distal end. An inner member is positioned within the outer member and the inflatable member such that a first end of the inner member is coupled to the distal end of the inflatable member. A support member is movably disposed within the inner member and includes a first end configured to removably engage the first end of the inner member. Translation of the support member along the axis causes the inflatable member to move between a first position in which the inflatable member has a first length and a first profile and a second position in which the inflatable member has a second reduced length and a second reduced profile. Methods of use are disclosed.

A surgical instrument includes a first member defining an axis and including an end surface and a passageway. A second member is movably disposed within the passageway and includes a tip and a plurality of spaced apart markings. The second member is movable between a first configuration in which the tip extends parallel to the axis and a second configuration in which the tip extends transverse to the axis. The end surface is aligned with a first one of the markings when the second member is in the first configuration and the end surface is aligned with a second one of the markings when the second member is in the second configuration. Methods are disclosed.

Support element for implantation into or between subject's bones, and implant component and implant system containing the same

The present invention provides a support element for implantation into or between a subject's bones, characterized in that: the support element is a hollow nestable structure having expandable elasticity, and can be in a contracted configuration or a distended configuration. The present invention also provides an implant component, comprising: the support element; and a limiting member to prevent the support element from expanding and thereby keep the support element in the contracted configuration. The present invention also provides an implant system applicable to a subject's spine, the implant system comprising: the support element as a first support element; and optionally one or a plurality of the support elements in the hollow nestable structure of the first support element. The support element can be nested until the support provided by the entire implant system reaches the desired level.

SPINAL IMPLANT STRUCTURE AND KIT THEREOF

The present invention provides a spinal implant structure. The spinal implant structure comprises a first part, a second part and at least one expansion arm. The second part is disposed on the horizontal orientation of the first part and does not overlap with the first part. The diameter of the first part is larger than that of the second part. One end of the expansion arm is connected to the first part, and the other end of the expansion arm is free end. The expansion arm and the first part create an angle. The expansion arm includes a supporting arm. One end of the supporting arm is connected to the expansion arm, and the other end of the supporting arm is connected the second part. The support arm includes a plurality of structure weakness. When the distance between the first part and the second part changes, the support arm bends from the structure weakness, thereby the angle is increased and the spinal implant structure is expanded. The first part, the second part, the expansion arm and the supporting arm are integrally formed.

The present invention provides a spinal implant structure. The spinal implant structure comprises a first tube, a second tube and at least one expansion arm. The second tube is disposed on the horizontal orientation of the first tube and does not overlap with the first tube. The diameter of the first tube is larger than that of the second tube. One end of the expansion arm is connected to the first tube, and the other end of the expansion arm is free end. The expansion arm and the first tube create an angle. The expansion arm includes a supporting arm. One end of the supporting arm is connected to the expansion arm, and the other end of the supporting arm is connected the second tube. The support arm, in response to a change in a distance between the first tube and the second tube, drives the expansion arm to move, thereby increasing the included angle and expanding the spinal implant structure.
