Screw driver and complimentary screws
Disclosed screwdrivers may include a rotatable drive shaft having a drive portion disposed at a distal end thereof, and a drive end disposed at a proximal end thereof. Disclosed screwdrivers may include an angled tip portion that is angled with respect to the longitudinal direction, and a mechanism configured to transfer a rotational force applied to the drive portion of the drive shaft through the angled tip portion to the drive end of the drive shaft. Disclosed screwdrivers may include an elastic retaining clip configured to have a bone screw securely attached therein at a clipping force and progressively release the bone screw therein at an extraction force. Disclosed screwdrivers may include at least one spring contacting the elastic retaining clip and the angled tip portion that is configured to facilitate the progressive release of the bone screw.

The inserter includes a rack, pinion, and cam system designed to secure an implant and release an implant in-situ. A cylindrical shaft may be gripped with an apparatus including a housing having an axis and an inner surface with multiple asymmetric cam surfaces, a proximal end including a means to rotate the housing, and a distal end having an opening configured to receive the cylindrical shaft, at least two cylindrical gripping members configured to grip the cylindrical shaft, where each cylindrical gripping member contacts a corresponding asymmetric cam surface at a first rest position, and a rotatable frame which holds each pair of cylindrical gripping members at a fixed angular orientation relative to each other. The rotatable frame is configured to rotate upon insertion of the cylindrical shaft into a space defined by the gripping members so that each gripping member moves away from the axis of the housing along a first portion of the corresponding asymmetric cam surface. After insertion of the cylindrical shaft, the housing is configured to rotate so as to cause each gripping member to move toward the axis of the housing along the corresponding asymmetric cam surface.
Tool for the Manipulation of Fastening Devices
A system for manipulating a rotational device using a flexible guide rod with an external rod feature along its length to engage a rotational device with a complementary interior channel feature along its length. A driver having a handle and coupling element is coupled to the rotational device while the flexible guide rod extends from the handle, through the coupling element, and into the interior channel of the rotational device in order to rotate from within along the length of the device.

EXPANDABLE INTER-BODY DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD
The present disclosure provides for spinal implants deployable between a contracted position and an expanded position. The spinal implant may include a first endplate and a second endplate, each having a plurality of guide walls and inclined ramps. The spinal implant may further include a moving mechanism having first and second trolleys configured to act against the first and second plurality of ramps. The expansion mechanism may further include a first set screw and a second set screw opposite the first set screw. The moving mechanism may be configured to operably adjust a spacing between the first and second endplates upon simultaneous rotation of the first and second set screws along a rotation axis, and may also operably adjust an angle of inclination between the first and second endplates upon rotating the first set screw or second set screw along the rotation axis.
SCREW INSERTER INSTRUMENTS AND METHODS
Screw inserter instruments and methods for implanting a bone screw are disclosed herein. In one exemplary embodiment, a screw inserter instrument can include a screw drive assembly having a first handle and a driver shaft coupled to the first handle, and a stylet assembly having a second handle and a stylet extending through the driver shaft. The first handle can have a locked configuration, in which the first handle and the driver shaft are coupled such that the first handle can maintain the driver shaft in a fixed position while the second handle is rotated relative to the first handle, and an unlocked configuration, in which the first handle and the driver shaft can rotate simultaneously in a first direction and the first handle can rotate independent of the driver shaft in a second opposite direction.

Spinal screw handling
Various exemplary methods and devices are provided for the delivery of spinal screws to a spinal implant site. A variety of exemplary configurations and implementations are provided, but, in general, a handheld tool is provided having a guide member with a lumen formed therein that is configured to deliver a spinal screw to a cervical spine implant. The tool can include various features that facilitate the delivery of the spinal screw to the implant. The tool can include a storage component, such as a magazine, that is configured to hold a plurality of spinal screws for delivery of multiple spinal screws during a surgical procedure.
