INSTRUMENTS FOR USE DURING SPINE SURGERY
Surgical instruments and devices including drivers, inserters, and reducers. The driver includes a ratcheting mechanism configured to provide uni-directional motion when engaged. The inserter includes a rack, pinion, and cam system designed to secure an implant and release an implant in-situ. The reducer includes a geared system for persuading together surgical components and aligning misaligned vertebrae.
SCREW INSERTER INSTRUMENTS AND METHODS
Screw inserter instruments and methods for implanting a bone screw are disclosed herein. In one exemplary embodiment, a screw inserter instrument can include a screw drive assembly having a first handle and a driver shaft coupled to the first handle, and a stylet assembly having a second handle and a stylet extending through the driver shaft. The first handle can have a locked configuration, in which the first handle and the driver shaft are coupled such that the first handle can maintain the driver shaft in a fixed position while the second handle is rotated relative to the first handle, and an unlocked configuration, in which the first handle and the driver shaft can rotate simultaneously in a first direction and the first handle can rotate independent of the driver shaft in a second opposite direction.
SCREW PEGGING DEVICE
The invention provides a screw pegging device. The screw pegging device comprises a holding handle, a handle rod, a sleeve and a screw part, wherein the sleeve is provided with a perforative cavity, and clamping grooves are arranged at two ends of the cavity; a groove opening running through the cavity is arranged in the side wall of the sleeve, a limiting clamping part is arranged in the groove opening, one end of the limiting clamping part is connected with the groove opening, and the other end of the limiting clamping part is provided with a convex clamping edge; the screw part is a long rod, one end of the long rod is provided with a screw head, a first clamping part is arranged at the joint of the long rod and the screw head, and an annular groove edge is arranged on the side wall of the long rod; and the holding handle sleeves one end of the handle rod, the other end of the handle rod is inserted and clamped in a third clamping groove of the sleeve, an axial insertion hole is formed in the handle rod, the long rod runs through the cavity and is inserted and embedded in the insertion hole, a fourth clamping groove is in clamping connection with the first clamping part, and the convex clamping edge is embedded and clamped in the annular groove edge. In the screw pegging device, the firm connecting is guaranteed by utilizing the clamping groove structure, the screw part long rod extends into the handle rod, then the strength of the joint of the handle rod and the screw part is enhanced, meanwhile, through the limiting clamping part, the axial limiting fixing is realized between the sleeve and screw part, and the disassembly is convenient.
Methods, devices, and systems related to a surgical driver
Methods, systems, and devices are provided for the alignment of implants or fastener members. For example, a surgical driver device is provided that has a driver head with a sidewall, a bore extending into a distal end of the driver head that is configured to receive an implant therein, and an alignment post that is disposed within the bore and extends distally beyond a distal opening of the bore. A retention member is disposed along a perimeter of the driver head and is configured to provide an interference fit between the driver head and an implant. A surgical caddie is also provided that has a housing, a plurality of implants on a mounting station, and a removal post that external threads that are matable with internal threads on each of the plurality of implants.
Dental implant prosthetic and surgical life-saving kit
The present invention is a dental implant tool comprising of a handle and a head portion connected to each other via a hinge facilitating the head to pivot relative to the handle to enable the dentist to reach various positions within a patient's mouth. The head portion configured to retain an abutment, an impression coping or healing abutment during a dental procedure and can be moved to the left and the right up to 90 degrees. The head comprises a rotatable ratchet with a key-shape center hole to hold an abutment in place while affixing the abutment to an implant and provides a complete access to implant-driver tip to the screw head, regarding to any abutment-body angulation, position and screw access hole. The inner wall of the center hole has 3-degree convergences at any plan of the walls in order to grasp, lock and hold implant abutments. The dental tool provides practitioners with a better and more enhanced access to the sites of the implants without any limitations, regarding to the implant while minimizing the amount of health risk exposure through increasing the level of safety standards.
