Bone Anchor Driver and Methods
Methods and devices are provided for using a bone anchor driver for driving inner and outer set closure mechanisms or set screws into a bone anchor assembly. In one embodiment, a bone anchor driver is provided that includes an outer shaft configured to engage an outer set screw coupled to a bone anchor assembly, an inner shaft disposed within the outer shaft and configured to engage an inner set screw coupled to the bone anchor assembly, and a torque limiting mechanism configured to automatically switch between a first position in which it is disengaged from the inner shaft and is engaged with the outer shaft, and a second position in which it is disengaged from the outer shaft and is engaged with the inner shaft.
BI-DIRECTIONAL FIXATING TRANSVERTEBRAL BODY SCREWS AND POSTERIOR CERVICAL AND LUMBAR INTERARTICULATING JOINT CALIBRATED STAPLING DEVICES FOR SPINAL FUSION
A self-drilling bone fusion screw apparatus is disclosed which includes at least first and second sliding boxes. A first screw member having a tapered end and a threaded body is disposed within the first sliding box, and a second screw member having a tapered end and a threaded body disposed within the second sliding box. An adjuster adjusts the height of the sliding boxes. The screw members are screwed into vertebral bodies in order to fuse the vertebral bodies together. A plurality of the self-drilling bone fusion screw apparatuses may be attached together and/or integrated via a plate or cage. Also disclosed is a cervical facet staple that includes a curved staple base and at least two prongs attached to the bottom surface of the curved staple base.
MULTI-FUNCTION DRIVER INSTRUMENTS AND RELATED METHODS
Multi-function driver instruments and related methods are disclosed herein, e.g., for applying a fastener to a bone anchor. In some embodiments, a single instrument can include features for driving multiple different types of fasteners, independently driving multiple different components of a single fastener assembly, and so forth, with the instrument being switchable between multiple operating modes to select the feature needed for a particular function. The instrument can include features for retaining a fastener to the instrument, e.g., during initial insertion of the fastener.
Biceps tenodesis implants and delivery tools
Methods and devices are provided for anchoring a ligament or tendon to bone. In one embodiment, a surgical implant is provided having a sheath and an expander that is received within the sheath. Various delivery tools, including a sheath inserter and a driver, are also provided. In use, the sheath inserter can be used to position a tendon within a prepared bone hole, and it can be used to deliver the sheath with a guidewire coupled thereto into the bone hole. The driver can be provided for delivering the expander into the sheath. A loader can optionally be used to load the driver and expander onto the guidewire coupled to the implanted sheath.
Fracture Plate
A method of promoting healing of a fracture of a bone, comprising: fixing a fracture plate to the bone, wherein the fracture plate comprises: an upper section having at least one screw hole for receiving an upper screw; an middle section having a plurality of screw holes for receiving a plurality of middle screws, the screw holes therethrough the middle section having an oblique trajectory relative to the trajectory of the screw hole of the upper section; and, a lower section having at least one screw hole for receiving a lower screw, the trajectory of the screw hole having an oblique trajectory relative to the trajectory of the screw holes of the middle section.
DRIVER INSTRUMENTS AND RELATED METHODS
Driver instruments and related methods are disclosed herein, e.g., for applying a fastener to a bone anchor. Various features are disclosed for retaining the fastener to the driver instrument, such as tapered drive tips, as are various features for impacting the driver instrument into the fastener, such as slidable slap-hammer type handles. Driver instruments with interchangeable handles or handle geometries that can be changed without separating the instrument from an attached fastener are also disclosed.

A self-drilling bone fusion screw apparatus is disclosed which includes at least first and second sliding boxes. Also disclosed is a cervical facet staple that includes a curved staple base and at least two prongs attached to the bottom surface of the curved staple base. .
Surgical Insertion Device
A surgical insertion device is disclosed, comprising an elongated central flat region tapering from one distal end having a device area, configured to receive an electronic device, towards the opposite distal end having a sharp tip.
Orthopedic anchor assembly
An orthopedic assembly may include an orthopedic device, an anchor, and a locking mechanism. The orthopedic device can be a plate member having an aperture that is configured to receive the anchor. The anchor can include a head, neck and shank portion. The head portion can include a plurality of arms separated by grooves that are capable of splaying. The assembly is configured such that when the locking mechanism is inserted into the head portion, this causes expansion of the arms of the head. This expansion locks and secures the anchor to the orthopedic device. Various instruments are provided that can deliver the locking mechanism to the anchor, and can provide impact to lock functionality.
