Applicator and method for reducing cross-contamination in waxing
This invention relates to a new device for waxing hair from skin, where used parts of a wax applicator can be removed from the applicator and unused parts then utilized to apply wax, thereby reducing the chances of contaminated wax from cross contaminating a primary wax source.
Depilatory wax melting apparatus
An apparatus for the melting of depilatory wax, the apparatus comprising: a housing including at least: a receptacle; a heating element in thermal contact with the receptacle; and a control mechanism operable to control the heating element; and a removable skin that is removably placeable on the housing to protect the housing from wax deposits.
Waxing System and Method
The disclosed principles provide an improved waxing system, apparatus, and related waxing methods, having a mechanical reaching attachment to be attached thereto, and thus provide additional reach and leverage for removing the waxing strip. In one embodiment, a waxing system comprises at least one waxing strip each comprising at least one waxing side and at least one attachment area located proximate an attachment end of each waxing strip. The at least one waxing side may be configured to receive waxing material thereon to remove body hair. The waxing system may also comprise at least one attachment device located in a corresponding at least one attachment area. In addition, the waxing system may comprise at least one removal device coupled to a corresponding at least one attachment device and configured for grasping by a user to remove the at least one waxing strip from a body during hair removal.
Heating device
A device for heating an epilatory wax, a unit block of a solidified epilatory wax for use with the device and a kit including the device and at least one unit block of a solidified epilatory wax.
Wax applicator
A wax applicator is provided for applying epilation wax to nasal cavities, comprising a stem for handling the wax applicator, a nipple at one end of the stem, and a collar disposed around the stem at a base of the nipple, wherein the nipple has a contoured surface that narrows at its base where it meets the collar, operatively to achieve formlock with hardened epilation wax following cooling of hot epilation wax applied to the nipple, and thereby allowing removal from their roots of hairs set in the hardened epilation wax.
SELF-CONTAINED HEATED TREATMENT APPARATUS
A self-contained heated wax treatment apparatus can include an outer shell and a rack disposed inside the outer shell. The rack can include a receptacle holder and at least one heater holder. A receptacle can be connected to the rack. A heater can be connected to the heater holder of the rack. Activation of the heater causes heat to flow to the receptacle.
Hair removal device and wax-strip
A hair removal device using, or for use in combination with, a wax-strip configured to remove hair from skin. The device includes: a user holding member including a housing or chassis having a wax-strip removal mechanism actuator, the housing having a bottom surface configured for engaging with the skin; a wax-strip engagement mechanism for removable engagement with the wax-strip; a wax-strip removal mechanism including a wax-strip removal acceleration arrangement; and a wax-strip pressing mechanism. The wax-strip pressing mechanism presses the wax-strip to the user's skin by way of a pressing member and also distances the pressing member from the skin during operation of the device, to help mitigate shear and/or rubbing on the skin.
TOPICAL COMPOSITIONS TO REDUCE HAIR GROWTH
This document relates to materials and methods for topical administration of sulfonylureas to inhibit, reduce, or prevent hair growth the topical composition being formulated for application to the skin of a mammal. The materials and methods of the disclosure may be used to inhibit, reduce, or prevent any unwanted hair growth including normal growth, and excessive hair growth.
DEPILATORY COMPOSITION
The invention provides a depilatory composition comprising at least one rosinous or resinous tackifying agent, at least one surfactant, and at least a metal salt as a heating improvement agent. The invention provides an enhanced heating profile of the depilatory composition.
