SUTURE SLEEVE PATCH AND METHODS OF DELIVERY WITHIN AN EXISTING ARTHROSCOPIC WORKFLOW
Suture delivered patches adapted for interposition, augmentation or repair devices for use in tendon and ligament repair, including rotator cuff repair, have been developed as well as methods for their delivery using suture guided arthroscopic methods. The repair patches may be provided from suitable biocompatible materials. The patches may be delivered using anchored sutures already in use during a surgical repair including, open, minimally invasive, endoscopic, and arthroscopic repair procedures. Additionally, fixation of the suture delivered repair patch is secured along with the normal suture securing workflow of the one or more sutures used to deliver the patch.
Implant system for repair or replacement of tension carrying connective tissue
A link (1) for connecting two loops of a flexible tension-carrying construct (2, 2a). It solves the problem of providing effective means to connect two anchor points (7, 7a), typically on bones articulating at a joint by the flexible tension-carrying construct.
SOFT TISSUE RETENTION DEVICE, INSTRUMENTATION AND RELATED METHODS
Soft tissue retention devices, instrumentation and related methods are disclosed. The devices include a first member comprising a first head portion and a first threaded shaft portion extending from the first head portion that define a cannulated opening extending therethrough, and a second member comprising a second head portion and a second threaded shaft portion extending from the second head portion that define a cannulated opening that extends therethrough. The inner sides of the first and second head portions includes a row of teeth extending about the periphery thereof. The first head portion also includes a plurality of through holes positioned between the first threaded shaft portion and the row of teeth. The outer sides of the first and second head portions include non-circular drive openings. The instrumentation comprise a handle portion with a through aperture that allows for a user's finger to extend therethrough during an implantation procedure.
PATELLA TENDON REALIGNMENT IMPLANT WITH FIXATION
An orthopedic implant system including an orthopedic implant with an inferior portion having a surface configured to extend over a top surface of a tibia; a superior portion opposite to the inferior portion and configured to change a position of a patellar tendon by lifting or tilting the patellar tendon when the surface of the inferior portion is engaged with the tibia; a first lateral side disposed between the inferior portion and the superior portion; and a second lateral side disposed between the inferior portion and the superior portion opposite to the first lateral side; and a fixation system to attach the orthopedic implant to the tibia. The invention also includes corresponding methods.
Instrumentation For Soft Tissue Reconstruction
The present disclosure includes, in one embodiment, a tensioner instrument having a body having a channel and a plurality of arms projecting outward from the body, each arm including a cleat having a slot adapted to receive a suture; a base member positioned within the channel of the body; an actuating mechanism having a first coupling member adapted to engage a second coupling member on the body to removeably couple the actuating mechanism to the body; and a universal joint adapted to allow for relative movement between the base member and the body such that, when each suture is positioned within each cleat and the actuating mechanism is actuated, the tensioner applies uniform tension to each suture positioned in each cleat.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR REPAIRING SOFT TISSUE AND ATTACHING SOFT TISSUE TO BONE
Devices, systems and/or methods for repairing soft tissue adjacent a repair site. In one embodiment, a repair device is delivered with a delivery device system configured to move a cartridge with the repair device disposed therein toward an anvil with soft tissue positioned thereon. The delivery device linearly moves the cartridge toward the anvil with a worm drive positioned within a housing by rotating a thumb wheel disposed around the worm drive. Such linear movement is provided with a finger element extending from the worm drive that is configured to cooperate with an internal surface of the thumb wheel. With this arrangement, upon rotating the thumb wheel, the worm drive rotates with the finger element engaged with the internal surface of the thumb wheel to linearly move the cartridge toward the anvil.
Stent and method for manufacturing the stent
A stent that has a reduced state, an expanded state, and a delivery state, includes helical windings, a bridge, and a sacrificial bridge. The helical windings define a cylinder with a helical axis including a strut having a straight portion connected to a curved portion, wherein the straight portion aligns with the helical axis. The bridge connects adjacent windings. The sacrificial bridge connects adjacent windings and is configured for removal in the expanded state.
Soft-tissue fixation device
A system for fixating soft-tissue is described herein. The system includes a soft-tissue fixation device comprising a cable-retention feature. Additionally, the system includes a cable coupleable to the cable-retention feature of the soft-tissue fixation device. The cable is configured to be tensioned to a measurable and adjustable tension.
