Embodiments of the invention include an anchoring system (1) and method of inserting an anchor (100). Suture (305) and graft (550) may be implanted with anchors (100) of some embodiments. Some anchor embodiments may include at least one side that is cut away (115) to provide a protected space, such as central portion (116), for suture (305) and graft (550) and may provide a connection mechanism, such as a connector hole (107), that may be pushed or pulled by an inserter (200) of the anchoring system (1).
Adjustable knotless loops
Methods of attaching a soft tissue to an adjacent bone at a defect site are provided. An adjustable loop region of a flexible construct contained in a bore defined by a fastener is passed through a tissue. The adjustable loop is passed through the tissue. The fastener is passed back through the adjustable loop to fold the adjustable loop upon itself. The fastener is attached to the bone. An adjusting arm on the flexible construct is engaged to reduce the size of the adjustable loop and secure the soft tissue to the bone.

ALL-SUTURE ANCHOR
Provided herein are suturing systems, methods of anchoring to a bone, methods for anchoring a soft tissue to a bone, and methods of anchoring a first soft tissue portion to a second soft tissue portion. An exemplary suturing system includes an anchor and a suture inserter device. The anchor includes a plurality of anchor inserts coupled to a portion of the suture between a first end and second end of the anchor. The anchor has an insertion configuration that is substantially linear and a deployed configuration that is at least partially nonlinear. The suture inserter device includes a housing comprising a housing lumen and a housing shaft disposed therein, and an inserter fork coupled to the housing shaft. The housing shaft is axially translatable, and the inserter fork is axially translatable, via the housing shaft, between a distal position and a proximal position.
Method and apparatus for coupling anatomical features
A method of coupling a first portion of an anatomy to a second portion of the anatomy includes coupling first and second bones of the anatomy with a bone-tendon-bone implant. The bone-tendon-bone implant has a first bone end, a second bone end and a replacement tendon between the first and second bone ends. The first and second bone ends are positioned in corresponding first and second bores of the first and second bones. The first bone end is secured to the first bone with a first bone anchor. A second anchor coupled to the bone-tendon-bone implant is passed through and outside the second bore. The second anchor is coupled to an adjustable suture construct having two adjustable suture loops. Tensioning at least one of first and second ends of the adjustable suture construct tensions the replacement tendon and positions the first bone relative to the second bone.
SUTURE-LOCKING WASHER FOR USE WITH A BONE ANCHOR, AND METHOD FOR SUPPORTING THE THUMB OF A PATIENT AFTER BASAL JOINT ARTHROPLASTY, AND OTHER NOVEL ORTHOPEDIC APPARATUS AND OTHER NOVEL ORTHOPEDIC PROCEDURES
The invention provides surgical methods, devices, apparatus, and systems for supporting the thumb of a patient after basal joint arthroplasty. The embodiments of the invention comprise at least one index metacarpal anchor, at least one thumb metacarpal anchor, at least one sling for positioning the thumb metacarpal anchor relative to the index metacarpal anchor, and at least one anchor washer for tightening and securing the sling(s) without the need to tie the suture(s) components of the sling(s) into knots. Index and thumb metacarpal anchors comprise at least one bone-engaging element for engaging the respective metacarpal. The anchor washer may incorporate one or more sling-engagement mechanisms. Increasing the number of sling-engagement mechanisms associated with the anchor washer increases the surface area of the sling(s) and provides multiple sling elements to provide redundancy and increase the pull force of the sling(s) attachment(s) used to affix the thumb and index metacarpal anchors into a position relative to each other.
Soft tissue attachment device
A device for attaching a soft tissue graft to bone includes a body with a smooth contoured first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface having a plurality of outwardly extending fixation members. The second surface is at least partially formed of a porous material adapted for bone ingrowth. A channel extends at least partially through the body in between the first and second surfaces for receiving a portion of the graft. The channel is at least partially formed of a porous material adapted for tissue ingrowth, bone ingrowth or a combination thereof.
ANCHOR INSERTION SYSTEMS FOR A WINGED BONE ANCHOR HAVING A DRIVING CORE
The present disclosure provides new and innovative bone anchors and bone anchor insertion systems that enable smaller bone holes by eliminating the need for a cannula to transport the bone anchor. The provided bone anchors and insertion systems also help prevent damage to suture used in a bone anchor insertion procedure. The bone anchor includes a securement portion that surrounds a core portion. The securement portion includes multiple wings that are shape-set to be splayed outward from the core portion, though may be bent towards or away from the core portion in response to an applied force. The core portion includes a rod extending from a head. The rod includes a drive feature such that a surgeon may engage an inserter with the rod to drive the bone anchor through a bone hole. The bone hole walls maintain the bone anchor in a compressed state.
TISSUE REPAIR ASSEMBLY AND SYSTEM WITH SOFT ANCHORING IMPLANT
Tissue repair systems which use knotless all-suture anchors and have the ability to lock multiple repair sutures within the anchor construct. The anchor construct includes a tension suture wrapped or looped upon itself to create an open eyelet, through which multiple repair sutures originating in soft tissue are passed. The location of the eyelet may be anywhere inside the all-suture anchor or adjacent to the exterior of the anchor body. Tensioning of the tension suture causes the eyelet to restrict movement of the repair sutures and secures them within or against the anchor body.
