OCULAR IMPLANT INSERTION APPARATUS AND METHODS
An exemplary ocular implant insertion system includes a case and a preloaded ocular implant insertion apparatus. The apparatus includes first and second movable structures that move the ocular implant in a predetermined sequence. The respective configurations of the case and the ocular implant insertion apparatus are such that the ocular implant insertion apparatus is not removable from the case when the ocular implant insertion apparatus is in the pre-use state and is removable after the first movable structure has moved at least a portion of the optical implant.
Protective cap for an insertion device and other insertion device features
A protective cap having finger grips, a window, and port. The protective cap may also have one or more clips (or snaps), one or more relief slots, and/or one or more guides. Protective cap 200 may also have a fill indicator and/or a material relief. An insertion system having a handpiece, a pushrod assembly, a cartridge, and a cap with a window and a port. The cap is configured and dimensioned to couple with the distal end of the cartridge. The insertion system may also have a pushrod with a plunger having a marker configured and dimensioned to indicate axially translation of the pushrod assembly within the handpiece.
INSERTER CAP AND RELATED FEATURES
A cap configured and dimensioned to sweep or fold one or more haptics when removed from an insertion device. The cap may further have a pin, one or more snaps and/or one or more locks. The cap may also have one or more ports and/or one or more windows. An insertion system having a handpiece, a cartridge, and a cap configured and dimensioned to sweep or fold one or more haptics when the cap is removed from the insertion system. The cap is configured and dimensioned to couple with the distal end of the cartridge.
INTRAOCULAR LENS INJECTOR AND INTRAOCULAR LENS INJECTION DEVICE
An intraocular lens injector (1) includes: a hollow body having an injector body (5) provided with a lens placement portion (11) on which an intraocular lens is placed, and a screw member (8) with a first threaded portion (8b) formed thereon and connected to a rear end portion of the injector body (5), and rotatable around an axis of the injector body (5) without moving in an axial direction of the injector body; and a moving member (9, 10) having a second threaded portion (9c) that engages with the first threaded portion (8b) from an initial state before use, and configured to release the intraocular lens from a tip of an injection tube 7 by moving in an axial direction of the injector body (5) independently from the screw member (8) due to an engagement of the first threaded portion (8b) and the second threaded portion (9c), during a rotating operation of the screw member (8).
INJECTOR FOR AN INTRAOCULAR LENS, AND SYSTEM HAVING AN INJECTOR
The disclosure relates to an injector for intraocular lenses. The injector may comprise an automatically activatable haptics slider. Furthermore, the injector can be configured such that a folding member for folding the intraocular lens is blocked when the haptics slider has not been activated. The disclosure furthermore relates to a system comprising a container in which an intraocular lens is stored in a cartridge. The haptics slider becomes automatically activated when the cartridge is received by the injector housing.

Systems and processes for inserting an intraocular lens
Various systems and techniques for inserting an intraocular lens are disclosed. In particular implementations, a system and a technique for inserting an intraocular lens may include the ability to move, in response to a force being applied in a first direction along a longitudinal axis, a first plunger tip along the longitudinal axis and into a delivery cartridge to fold an intraocular lens and move in a second direction along the longitudinal axis in response to the applied force being reduced. The system and the technique may also include the ability to engage a second plunger tip and move, in response to a force being applied in the first direction along the longitudinal axis, the second plunger tip along the longitudinal axis and into the delivery cartridge to insert the intraocular lens.
Removable cap actuation for an intraocular lens cartridge
Systems, methods, and apparatuses for removably attaching a drive mechanism handpiece to an intraocular lens (IOL) cartridge that folds the IOL upon removal of a cap, are provided. The IOL cartridge comprises a nozzle and a housing comprising a slide. A compartment configured to receive an IOL is disposed within the housing. An interior portion of the slide is exposed to the compartment. The nozzle is in fluid communication with the compartment. The cap covers the nozzle and the slide. The cap is configured to expose the nozzle and advance the slide to fold the IOL upon removal of the cap.
