DEVICES TO SUPPORT AND POSITION AN INTRAOCULAR LENS WITHIN THE EYE AND METHODS OF USE
A device for supporting an intraocular lens in an eye. The device has a lens support structure having an inner perimeter surface defining, at least in part, a central opening. When implanted, light may pass through the central opening towards the retina. The device has at least three fixation arms, each having an origin portion coupled to the lens support structure and a terminal portion comprising an anchor for trans-scleral fixation of the device. Prior to implantation, at least one fixation arm is biased towards a folded configuration and has a bend between the origin portion and the terminal portion. The origin portion extends away from the lens support structure and the anchor of the terminal portion is positioned over or under at least one of a portion of the lens support structure and a portion of the central opening. Related tools, systems, and methods are provided.
PROSTHETIC CAPSULAR DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
A prosthetic capsular device configured to be inserted in an eye includes a housing structure and a ring structure. The housing structure includes a first side, a second side opposite the first side, a third side, a fourth side opposite the third side, a posterior side including a refractive surface, an anterior side opposite the posterior side, and a longitudinal axis. The first side, the second side, the third side, the fourth side, the posterior side, and the anterior side at least partially define a cavity configured to contain an intraocular device (e.g., an IOL). The anterior side includes an opening. The ring structure includes a ring structure portion extending radially outward from proximate one of an end of the first side and an end of the second side.
INTRAOCULAR LENS SYSTEM
A lens for use in an intraocular lens system for treating age-related macular degeneration (AMD), the lens including an anterior surface, a posterior surface, and a plurality of haptics configured to align the anterior light-converging intraocular lens with an optical axis of the eye. The plurality of haptics may have a symmetrical design and comprising ciliary-sulcus-engaging surfaces configure to position the lens within in a ciliary sulcus of an eye. At least one of the anterior surface and the posterior surface may be rendered as aspherical surfaces selected to induce spherical aberration while minimizing optical aberration and thereby provide for a continuum of retinal images to be focused at an area macula of a retina of the eye between two retinal eccentricities.

OPHTHALMIC IMPLANTS FOR CORRECTING VISION WITH A TUNABLE OPTIC, AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE AND USE
Ophthalmic implants, their methods of use and manufacture. The implants may include a transparent optic portion and a peripheral non-optic portion coupled to the optic portion. The transparent optic portion may be made of a transparent optic material adapted to allow visible light to pass therethrough, and the peripheral non-optic portion may be made of a light absorbing material adapted to absorb visible light.
Sulcus implants and methods of using the same
This disclosure provides ophthalmic implants such as sulcus implants which can comprise one or more drug delivery devices. Further provided herein are methods of using the drug delivery ophthalmic devices described herein for implantation into a subject's eye, e.g., into an eye's ciliary sulcus or capsular bag.
MODULAR INTRAOCULAR LENS DESIGNS, TOOLS AND METHODS
Modular IOL systems including a base and a lens, wherein the lens includes fixed and actuatable tabs for connection to the base. The modular IOL allows for the lens to be adjusted or exchanged while leaving the base in place, either intra-operatively or post-operatively. Drug delivery capabilities and/or sensing capabilities may be incorporated into the base. Injector devices may be used to facilitate placement of the base and the lens sequentially or simultaneously into the eye.
Modular intraocular lens designs, tools and methods
Modular IOL removal systems and methods that cut an optic portion of an intraocular in a single motion such to facilitate removal of the optic portion from an eye through an incision, for example a corneal incision, without increasing the size of the corneal incision. Various cutting tools having one or more blades may be utilized. The cut intraocular lens may have one continuous cut or be cut into multiple smaller pieces. The single cutting step may apply balanced forces and torque to avoid damaging the surrounding eye anatomy, reducing the risk of trauma.
INTRAOCULAR LENS
An intraocular lens includes an optical body having a geometric center point through which a longitudinal axis extends and a second main axis extends as a transverse axis. The transverse axis is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. A flat first and a second haptic body are each adjacent to the optical body. The first and second haptic bodies are arranged point-symmetrically to the geometric center. An outer radius of the intraocular lens about the geometric center and a radial distance from the geometric center to an intersection point of the transverse axis with a circumferential line of the intraocular lens have a ratio to one another from 1:0.5 to 1:0.9. The first haptic body has a recess on the left of the longitudinal axis and another recess on the right thereof. The two recesses each have a length and a width, the length being greater than the width.
Modular intraocular lens designs and methods
A modular IOL system including intraocular primary and secondary components, which, when combined, form an intraocular optical correction device, wherein the secondary component is placed on the primary component within the perimeter of the capsulorhexis, thus avoiding the need to touch or otherwise manipulate the capsular bag. The secondary component may be manipulated, removed, and/or exchanged for a different secondary component for correction or modification of the optical result, on an intra-operative or post-operative basis, without the need to remove the primary component and without the need to manipulate the capsular bag. The primary component may have haptics extending therefrom for centration in the capsular bag, and the secondary component may exclude haptics, relying instead on attachment to the primary component for stability. Such attachment may include actuatable interlocking members.
