A device for improving the function of a heart valve comprises a first loop-shaped support, which is configured to abut a first side of the heart valve. A first flange unit is may be configured as a fabric sleeve covering the loop-shaped support. A portion of the fabric sleeve forms a flange that is attached to the annulus when said first loop-shaped support is abutting said heart valve. The flange is provideable by folding at least a portion of said sleeve over itself for forming a double layer of opposing fabrics thereof, such that said sleeve comprises a flange portion extending from said first loop-shaped support configured to overlap a surface of and form a collar around, at least a portion of said annulus.

An implant structure, comprises a body portion, a first adjusting mechanism, and a second adjusting mechanism. The body portion is configured to be secured within a heart of a patient. The first adjusting mechanism is coupled to a first portion of the body portion, and comprises a first ring that surrounds the first portion and is moveable with respect to the body portion. The second adjusting mechanism is coupled to a second portion of the body portion, and comprises a second ring that surrounds the second portion and is moveable with respect to the body portion. A first elongate tool is configured to remodel tissue of the heart by actuating the first adjusting mechanism. A second elongate tool is configured to remodel tissue of the heart by actuating the second adjusting mechanism.

Percutaneous annuloplasty system with anterior-posterior adjustment

Apparatus, systems, and methods are provided for repairing heart valves through percutaneous transcatheter delivery and fixation of annuloplasty rings to heart valves. An annuloplasty ring includes an outer hollow body member including a plurality of regions. Adjacent regions cooperate with one another to change the body member from an elongate insertion geometry to an annular operable geometry. Adjacent regions are coupled by a biasing element or a stepped connector to allow expansion to an expanded state and contraction to a contracted state in the annular operable geometry. The annuloplasty ring also includes an internal anchor member located at least partially within the body member and having a plurality of anchors configured to attach the annuloplasty ring to tissue of a heart valve annulus. An angled ring closure lock allows coupling of the ends of an annuloplasty ring at an apex of a D-shape annular operable geometry.

Heart valve sealing devices and delivery devices therefor

A method of manufacturing a valve repair device for repairing a native valve of a patient includes: folding a strip of material formed from shape-memory alloy around a jig to form a coaption element and a pair of paddles connected to the coaption element, wherein the paddles are movable between an open position and a closed position and are configured to attach to the native valve of the patient; and heat treating the strip of material to shape-set the strip of material in the shape of the coaption element and paddles.

Atrioventricular Valve Repair Ring

An atrioventricular valve repair ring include an annular or otherwise arcuate shaped ring having a core that is partially or fully enclosed in a sheath. A barrier spans the inner volume of the ring. The barrier can be composed of interwoven filaments, a mesh screen, a porous sheet, and so on. When deployed in a patient's heart, the atrioventricular valve repair ring circumscribes the annulus of the atrioventricular valve. Blood is permitted to flow through the barrier while containing any prolapsing leaflet segments within the appropriate coaptation plane.

Annuloplasty Implant System and Associated Methods

Annuloplasty implant systems and methods of deployment within a catheter-based procedure are provided herein. Such systems can utilize annuloplasty rings defined by a scaffold of braided wire that is radially expandable and axially collapsible or by annuloplasty rings defined by multiple interconnected concentric loops. The rings can be formed of a memory alloy and expand to an implantation configuration when advanced from the catheter to be secured against the valve annulus with the anchors. Deployment systems can include delivery catheters that deploy multiple anchors about a valve annulus, and advance the annuloplasty ring over multiple torque wires to securely couple the ring with the anchors forming the annuloplasty ring thereby reforming the valve annulus.

CARDIAC VALVE REPAIR DEVICES CONFIGURED FOR PERCUTANEOUS DELIVERY

Certain aspects of the disclosure concern a device for repairing or replacing a native heart valve. The device can include a frame including a first set of struts intersecting with a second set of struts at a plurality of strut connection points. The frame can be radially expandable from a radially collapsed state to a radially expanded state. The device can include at least one expansion feature including a screw head and a screw shaft connected to the screw head. The screw shaft can extend through a first strut connection point and a second strut connection point. The device can further include a plurality of penetrating members extending from a first end of the frame. Rotating the screw shaft in a first direction can radially expand the frame from the radially collapsed state to the radially expanded state.
