Implant and implant system
An implant system for implantation at a joint. The implant system includes an implant device with a body portion having first and second ends, and a first elongate member, extending from the first or second end of the body portion. The implant system has a corresponding fixation device with at least one latching element. The first elongate member has at least one cooperating element capable of cooperating with the at least one latching element of the fixation device in use.
Spinal interbody with compressive fusion features
An interbody spacer for a spine includes a housing having a plurality of clearance holes configured to engage bone of the spine. A contact plate including a plurality of apertures is positioned a distance away from the housing configured to engage bone of the spine. A plurality of rivets adjoin the housing and the contact plate. A plurality of springs are included with each spring configured to encircle a respective rivet and translate the distance between the housing and contact plate from a minimum distance to a maximum distance.
Implant and implant system
An implant system for implantation at a joint, the implant system including an implant device which includes a body portion having first and second ends, and a first elongate member, extending from the first or second end of the body portion. The implant system also includes a corresponding fixation device for securing the first elongate member to a subject, and the fixation device includes at least one latching element, the first elongate member includes at least one cooperating element, the at least one cooperating element being capable of cooperating with the at least one latching element of the fixation device in use.
TIBIAL SUPPORT OF ARTIFICIAL KNEE JOINT
A tibial support of an artificial knee joint, comprising a main tibial support body and a tibial support platform, wherein the main tibial support body is wing-shaped, a central axis thereof being vertical to the tibial support platform. A plurality of hollow screw holes is provided at the upper part of the main body. The tibial support platform is located above the main tibial support body. The surface of the tibial support platform is an organic polymer material layer matching a tibial liner. The hollow screw holes in the tibial support are sealed by the polymer material layer. Because a tibial support of an artificial knee joint adopts a high-biocompatibility organic polymer material, physical machining is allowed in an operation, and meanwhile, the surface corrosion of the tibial support is reduced. Hollow screw holes are sealed by means of a polymer material layer, thereby inhibiting joint liquid from entering the holes, and reducing the transportation of particles. Recesses are provided at positions, corresponding to the screw holes, on the polymer surface, thereby aiding in drilling holes and mounting screws in an operation.
CRAFTING OF CARTILAGE
A shaped cartilage matrix isolated from a human or animal where the cartilage has been crafted to facilitate disinfection, cleaning, devitalization, recellularization, and/or integration after implantation. Also, a process for repairing a cartilage defect with the cartilage matrix. The matrix is in the form of an osteochondral plug including a cartilage cap ad subchondral bone, wherein one or more gaps, slats, bores, or channels extend through the tidemark at the interface between the cartilage cap and the subchondral bone.
Orthopaedic trauma plate and method for forming same
Disclosed is a method for forming an orthopaedic implant. The method comprises determining one or more parameters of a bone, of a subject, to which the implant is to be attached, and calculating specifications based on parameters. That calculation includes calculating a mechanical property relating to elasticity of the implant, a length of the implant, and positions of two or more fixation locations by which to fix the implant to the bone. The method further comprises forming the implant based on the specifications, wherein each fixation location comprises a longitudinal axis through the implant, and calculating specifications comprises calculating a trajectory for the longitudinal axis of the respective fixation location.
Mesh spacer hybrid
A modular implant for performing an intervertebral fusion on adjacent vertebral bodies in a patient including a first spacer portion, a second spacer and a container having a first end and a second end, the first end of the container constructed to operably engage a first spacer and the second end of the container constructed to operably engage the second spacer.
PEEK FEMORAL COMPONENT WITH SEGMENTED TI FOAM IN-GROWTH
A medical implant includes a body and a porous structure attached to the body. A boss integral with the body extends outwardly from a surface of the body. The porous structure has a surface that cooperates with the boss of the body to prevent pullout of the body from the porous structure. In fabricating the medical implant, the body and the porous structure are formed separately and subsequently secured together.
SOFT TISSUE REPAIR USING A POROUS COATED IMPLANT
Embodiments of this application relate to the use of porous coating implants to repair soft tissue injuries. Implant frames are coated with a porous coating, such as a titanium porous coating, for example, on both the bone-facing and the soft tissue-facing sides of the implant. The implant may then be sandwiched between the bone and soft tissue so that the bone grows into one side, and the soft tissue grows into the other side.
INTERVERTEBRAL FUSION IMPLANT
The present invention provides an intervertebral implant for implantation in a treated area of an intervertebral space between vertebral bodies of a spine. The implant includes a spacer portion having an inferior and superior surface, wherein the inferior and superior surfaces each have a contact area capable of engaging with anatomy in the treated area, and the inferior and superior surfaces define a through-hole extending through the spacer body. The present invention further provides screw holes extending from a side portion to the inferior and superior surfaces of the spacer portion and a plate portion rigidly coupled to the spacer portion through a coupling means, wherein the plate portion contains screws holes for receiving screws. A screw back out prevention mechanism adapted on the plate portion and prevents the back out of screws from the screw holes.
