Total artificial spino-laminar prosthetic replacement
A total artificial spinous process (spino)-laminar prosthesis (TASP-LP) including a body having a portion forming a spinous process extending away from the body, a first lamina portion extending from a first side of the body, and a second lamina portion extending from a second side of the body, wherein the first lamina portion and the second lamina portion are disposed on opposite sides of the spinous process.
Artificial cervical and lumbar disc system
An artificial replacement disc includes a pair of substantially parallel plates formed to occupy a space defined by vertebral endplates, each of the plates including a plurality of spikes on a first surface and a concave trough formed on a second surface opposite of the first surface. A mobile core includes a core rim with opposing convex surfaces extending from opposite sides of the core rim, the mobile core being capable of being disposed between the pair of plates to permit the vertebral endplates to move relative to one another. The spikes on each of the plates extend substantially away from the mobile core and the convex surfaces are formed to integrally fit within the concave trough of at least one of the plates. The core rim limits lateral movement of the mobile core relative to the parallel plates. One or more insertion tools for inserting and implanting the replacement disc are also described.
Implant and anchor assembly
An implant assembly comprising an implant having a load bearing surface with a contour corresponding to a patient's articular surface, and a bone facing surface including a fixation element, an anchor configured to be secured to bone beneath said patient's articular surface, said anchor including a second fixation element, and wherein said first fixation element is configured to be secured to said second fixation element.
Spinal Fusion Apparatus
An interbody spinal fusion cage for posterior interbody fusion procedures includes a superior member and an inferior member connected to each other via a joint. The joint allows the interbody spinal fusion cage to achieve lordosis even if implanted non-orthogonal to the sagittal plane. For example, the joint can be a hinge oriented non-normal to a longitudinal axis of the interbody spinal fusion cage, a polyaxial ball joint, and/or a universal joint. Complementary locking mechanisms, such as locking teeth or a ratchet-and-pawl arrangement, can be provided near the posterior ends of the superior and inferior members in order to prohibit the posterior ends of the superior and inferior members from separating from each other in situ. Bone holes can be provided in the superior and inferior members.
PROSTHETIC DISC FOR INTERVERTEBRAL INSERTION
A prosthetic disc for insertion between adjacent vertebrae includes a core having upper and lower curved surfaces, upper and lower plates, and peripheral restraining structure on at least one of the upper plate, the lower plate and the core. Each plate has an outer surface which engages a vertebra and an inner curved surface which slides over the curved surface of the core. The peripheral restraining structure serves to hold the core against a curved surface of at least one of the plates during sliding movement of the plates over the core.
Elbow arthroplasty apparatus, system, and method
The present disclosure generally relates to an elbow arthoplasty prosthesis that includes an ulnar component, a humeral component, one or more articulation liners, and a retention trap. The ulnar component includes a spherical bearing head that can be inserted into the humeral component in a number of orientations. The articulation liners and the retention trap are operatively engaged to the humeral component to retain the ulnar component within a humeral socket. The present disclosure also relates to methods of assembling and implanting the prosthetic device.
Shoulder prosthesis with variable inclination humeral head component
Methods and devices are disclosed for joint (e.g., shoulder) arthroplasty, including for reverse joint arthroplasty. In one aspect, there is provided a trial device for determining inclination, offset, and/or version of a prosthetic tray with respect to a prosthetic stem or stemless implant. In another aspect, there is provided a joint (e.g., shoulder) prosthesis, which allows for variable offset, inclination or version or any combination thereof. In another aspect, there is provided a method for setting an offset or inclination angle or a version angle or any combination thereof of a prosthetic tray with respect to a stem or stemless device implanted or to be implanted in a bone of a joint (e.g., shoulder) by matching the corresponding offset or version or inclination or any combination thereof to a trial device.
HUMERAL AND GLENOID ARTICULAR SURFACE IMPLANT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A shoulder implant system comprising a glenoid implant; a baseplate comprising an implant facing surface to face the glenoid implant; wherein the glenoid implant comprises at least one fixation element configured to engage with at least one fixation element of the baseplate; wherein the at least one fixation element of the glenoid implant comprises a center post having a distal end; wherein the at least one fixation element of the baseplate comprises a center post receptacle; wherein the baseplate comprises an outer periphery; wherein the implant facing surface of the baseplate comprises a channel which extends from the outer periphery of the baseplate to the center post receptacle of the baseplate; and wherein the channel is configured such that, during an assembly of the glenoid implant and the baseplate, the distal end of the post is movable in the channel from the outer periphery of the baseplate to the center post receptacle of the baseplate.
Distal radioulnar joint prosthesis system and method of use
Disclosed is a distal radio ulnar joint prosthesis system, and the method of use for the same, the system comprising an ulnar stem component, and ulnar head component, a set screw, and a sigmoid notch component, the system providing a prosthesis for replacement of the distal radio ulnar joint to restore the pronation-supination motion of the forearm as well as stability between the ulna and radius; a DRUJ prosthesis adapted for rotational alignment of the replacement joint along the axis of forearm rotation; a DRUJ prosthesis which allows for the use of a number of different sized heads having differing geometries; a DRUJ prosthesis adapted for variable pivoting alignment between the replacement distal ulnar head and the ulna; and a DRUJ prosthesis adapted for adjustment in the alignment between the articulating surface of the ulnar head and the sigmoid notch.
SPINAL IMPLANT SYSTEM
A spinal implant system is provided for bridging an intervertebral space between vertebral bodies bordering the intervertebral space. The spinal implant system includes at least one adjustable end cap and a spinal implant. The end cap can be used with additional end caps and/or the spinal implant. Multiple end caps can be stacked on top of one another, and one end cap can be attached to a first end of the spinal implant, and another end cap can be attached to a second end of the spinal implant. Thus, one or more of the end caps can be attached to either end of the spinal implant.
