The first and the second electrodes enclose surfaces of the hip joint prosthesis, and in a state in which the end cap assembly closes the hollow space of the hip joint prosthesis, the coil assembly is predominantly arranged in the hollow space.
DEVICE FOR TREATMENT OF ANEURYSM
A device for treating a vascular aneurysm of a human or mammal patient, comprising an implantable member adapted to hold fluid, the implantable member being adapted to be placed against an outside of a blood vessel having the aneurysm, exercise a pressure on the aneurysm to prevent or reduce an expansion of the aneurysm, follow an outer contour of the aneurysm, and provide a pressure that is equal or less than the diastolic blood pressure of the human or mammal patient.
Medical device and method for treatment of hip joint
A medical device for delivering an action to an area of a hip joint or its surroundings, inside a human body, is provided. The hip joint of a patient comprises a collum femur and a ball shaped caput femur, being the proximal parts of the femoral bone, and an acetabulum, being a bowl shaped part of the pelvic bone. The medical device comprising; an elongated member, having a length axis along its elongated distribution, comprising a first portion, adapted to enter the body of the patient, and a mechanical element, adapted to be used during an operation in the hip joint or its surroundings, inside the body. The first portion of the elongated member comprises a holding member adapted to hold the mechanical element inside the body of the patient, wherein the first portion of the elongated member have a first portion cross-section area substantially perpendicular to the length axis of the elongated member. The first portion is adapted to pass through a hole, in a bone of the patient, the hole having a hole cross-section area. The first portion cross-section area, is adapted to be smaller than said hole cross-section area. The mechanical element have a functional status, ready to deliver said action inside said body, when held by the holding member inside the body of the patient. The mechanical element is adapted to have a mechanical element cross-sectional area substantially perpendicular to the length axis of the elongated member, substantially larger than the first portion cross-sectional area and adapted to be unable to pass through the hole, when the mechanical element is in the functional status.
HIP JOINT DEVICE AND METHOD
A medical device system for implantation in a hip joint for providing at least one artificial hip joint surface for a patient is disclosed. The medical device system comprises an artificial acetabulum surface being at least partly bowl-shaped. The artificial surface comprises a largest cross-sectional distance being variable such that the medical device system can be inserted through a hole in the pelvic bone, from the abdominal side of the pelvic bone, the hole having a diameter smaller than said largest cross-sectional distance. Finally, the artificial acetabulum surface comprises at least two parts which are adapted to be interconnected to form an interconnected medical device when in use.
Implantable device for external urinary control
The present invention relates to an implantable apparatus for obtaining urinary control and emptying of the urinary bladder, The apparatus operates with a powered member (100) operating from the outside of the urinary bladder assisted by a support structure to discharge urine from the urinary bladder. A control device (200) controls the operation of the powered member. The control device further comprises a source of energy for operating the powered member and other energy consuming parts of the apparatus and a control assembly.
ARTIFICIAL HIP JOINT IMPLANT
The invention relates to an artificial hip joint implant (1), having a hip head (2), a femur neck (3) and a femur shaft (4) connected thereto, wherein the femur shaft (4) has an upper part (41) facing the shaft attachment (3) and a lower part (42), and the upper part (41) is connected to the lower part (42) by a length-adjusting device (51, 52, 6).
Surgical Instrument
A surgical method for placing an implantable medical device for constricting at least one of a patient's rectum, anal channel, anal sphincter or colon. The surgical method comprises creating an incision in a vaginal wall of a patient, inserting a surgical instrument through said incision. The instrument comprising an elongated main part, an elongated member having a proximal end fixed to a distal end of the elongated main part by means of a first adjustable joint having a pivotal axis, for adjusting a first angle between the main part of the instrument and the elongated member between 0 and 180 degrees, wherein the elongated main part and the elongated member lie in a first plane extending perpendicularly to the pivotal axis. The surgical method further comprises a flexible tip attached to a distal end of the elongated member and exhibiting a conformation which is reversibly changeable from an essentially straight conformation to a loop or hook conformation, wherein the flexible tip, when in the loop or hook conformation, defines an opening with an axial hole going there through, and wherein a second plane extends perpendicularly to the axial hole through said loop or hook, so that the flexible tip, in its loop or hook conformation, lies in the second plane.
