IMPLANT COMPONENTS AND METHODS
Systems, devices, and methods are provided for orthopedic implants. The implants may include a base member, such as an acetabular shell or an augment, that is configured to couple with an augment, flange cup, mounting member, or any other suitable orthopedic attachment.
INJECTION MOLDED PROSTHETIC COMPONENT WITH PLANARIZED BONE-CONTACTING SURFACES
A method for manufacturing a prosthetic component include injection molding a prosthetic component with a polymeric material. The prosthetic component includes a final surface positioned on one side and multiple coring features positioned on an opposite side. The coring features may include multiple ribs and slots. The method further includes machining the prosthetic component to remove the coring features and form a final surface on the opposite side. The prosthetic component may be a femoral component for a prosthetic knee joint.
INTERSOMATIC CAGE FOR VERTEBRAL STABILIZATION
Intersomatic cage for vertebral stabilization, including a generally prismatic body consisting of surface receptacles containing slow prolonged release substances selected from the classes of anti-inflammatory, anti-infection and bone regrowth promoter drugs. The receptacles are in the form of gratings of grooves.
System and method for joint resurfacing and repair
An implant resection system for preparing an implant site to replace a defect in an articular surface of a first bone includes a first guide configured to be coupled generally to the first bone. The first guide includes a body portion defining a channel configured to receive a pin, wherein the pin is configured to penetrate and form a longitudinally disposed bore within the first bone. The implant resection system further includes a second guide configured to be coupled generally perpendicular to the first bone proximate to the defect by way of the bore. The second guide includes a drill bit configured to form an excision site through a portion of the articular surface in preparation of receipt of an implant.
COMBINATION INTRA-MEDULLARY AND EXTRA-MEDULLARY FRACTURE STABILIZATION WITH ALIGNING ARM
A device provides a variety of fracture fixation options should a fracture occur after total hip arthroplasty or total knee arthroplasty, and provides associated methods and apparatus for application of provided fixation. The ability to pre-engineer fracture fixation contingent solutions into femoral or tibial components provides for a distinct clinical advantage in the planning and execution for periprosthetic fracture fixation. Said methods and apparatus include targeting devices which allow for intimate association of fixed angle locking screws in pre-drilled holes in an existing prosthetic, femoral nail, or other components including additional fixation components. Such apparatus and methods further include the use of alignment devices and other components to allow for ease of repair of fractures utilizing the pre-engineered solutions.
LOW PROFILE PLATE
The present application generally relates to orthopedic systems, and in particular, to systems including independent plates and spacers. A plating system can include a spacer and a plate that is independent from the spacer. A number of locking mechanisms can be provided to secure the plate to the spacer. In some cases, the spacer includes a pair of notches that extend on an outer surface of the spacer. The plate can include a pair of lateral extensions that can engage the notches to secure the plate to the spacer. In other cases, the spacer includes an opening including a pair of inlets. The plate can include an enclosed posterior extension that can be received in the pair of inlets to secure the plate to the spacer.
Engineered bone graft implant and methods of using the same
A bone graft implant and methods of using the same are provided herein.
DECOUPLED SPACER AND PLATE AND METHOD OF INSTALLING THE SAME
Intervertebral spacer assemblies, systems, and methods thereof. A method of insertion includes inserting an intervertebral spacer and plate together using an insertion tool and, upon removal of the insertion tool, the intervertebral spacer and plate are no longer considered connected/coupled and act as separate components.
KNEE REPLACEMENT IMPLANT HAVING STACKABLE SPACERS
A knee replacement prosthesis includes a distal femoral implant, including a femoral head portion, including an outer arcuate surface, and interior posterior surface, an interior distal surface disposed at a first angle with respect to the interior posterior surface, and a first interior intermediate surface joining the interior posterior surface and the interior distal surface and being disposed at a second angle with respect to the interior posterior surface and at a third angle with respect to the interior distal surface. The distal femoral implant includes stackable femoral spacers secured to at least one of the interior posterior surface and the interior distal surface, thereby adjusting an aggregate spacing between the interior posterior surface and/or the interior distal surface and a resected surface of a distal femur of the patient. A tibial implant is also provided. Related methods of use of either implant or both are also provided.
EXPANDABLE MOTION PRESERVATION SPACER
Embodiments are directed to an expandable spacer for insertion between two adjacent bony structures or two adjacent joint surfaces, and more particularly relate to an expandable spacer for insertion into the void remaining in the intervertebral space. Embodiments may include an expandable spacer comprising a first endplate; a second endplate spaced from the first endplate; and one or more bags disposed between the first endplate and the second endplate that couple the first endplate to the second endplate. The one or more bags may be configured to receive a filler material to expand the expandable spacer from an initial position having a first height to an expanded position having a second height, wherein the second height is greater than the first height.
