SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ATTACHING SOFT TISSUE TO AN IMPLANT
Methods for affixing soft tissue to an implant. The implant has a soft tissue attachment structure that includes a surface defining one or more troughs, and either at least one ingrowth plate spanning a portion of the trough and defining a suture tunnel between the ingrowth plate and trough for receiving a suture, or fixation bridges spanning a portion of the one or more troughs, each fixation bridge and respective trough defining a suture tunnel for receiving suture. Systems for performing the method are also disclosed.

Systems, devices, and methods are provided for orthopedic implants. The implants may include a base member, such as an acetabular shell or an augment, that is configured to couple with an augment, flange cup, mounting member, or any other suitable orthopedic attachment. Any of the implantable components may be include one or more porous surfaces. The porous surface may be textured by protrusions that connect to and extend from the surface. The sizes and concentration of the protrusions may be varied for specific applications to accommodate different implants and patient anatomies. A porous implant may also include one or more internal or external solid portions that strengthen the implant.

The implant may also include timing marks to facilitate alignment with corresponding marks on another implanted component.
Hardware protection of virtual machine monitor runtime integrity watcher
An apparatus and method for hardware protection of a virtual machine monitor (VMM) runtime integrity watcher is described. A set of one or more hardware range registers that protect a contiguous memory space that is to store the VMM runtime integrity watcher. The set of hardware range registers are to protect the VMM runtime integrity watcher from being modified when loaded into the contiguous memory space. The VMM runtime integrity watcher, when executed, performs an integrity check on a VMM during runtime of the VMM.
Cemented Sheath For Joint Implant
A prosthetic implant assembly including a modified liner configured for fixation to an acetabular shell. The modified liner having a sheath and a liner. The liner is configured to be inserted into and affixed to the sheath. The sheath having an annular rim, a plurality of longitudinal ribs extending from the annular rim, and a cross-rib spaced apart from the annular rim and intersecting the plurality of longitudinal ribs. Each longitudinal rib of the plurality of longitudinal ribs is curved such that the plurality of longitudinal ribs collectively define a partially spherical surface. Additionally, the annular rim, the plurality of longitudinal ribs, and the cross-rib define a plurality of openings between the annular rim and the cross rib.
Modular bone reinforcement
Modular bone reinforcement systems, bone plates, assembled bone reinforcements, and methods of reinforcing a bone are described. A modular bone reinforcement system includes a plurality of bone plates, each of which has a series of tabs disposed along at least one edge of the bone plate for forming a snap-fit attachment to a mating series of tabs of another bone plate of the plurality of bone plates to form an assembled bone reinforcement. A first bone plate of the plurality of bone plates has a first shape and a second bone plate of the plurality of bone plates has a second shape that is different from the first shape. The modular bone reinforcement system can include additional components, such one or more fixation devices, reduction devices, navigation aids, or other components.

Hip implant system
A hip implant system includes an artificial acetabular cup and an artificial acetabular liner. The liner includes or consists of a metal or an alloy, and is coated at least in sections with a ceramic coating.
Hip arthroplasty implants
Apparatus and method of removing a liner attached to an implanted acetabular shell. A surgical site is accessed where the acetabular shell has already been implanted into a patient. A rim plate having a through opening is placed over the acetabular shell. A pilot hole is then drilled into the attached liner through the opening in the placed rim plate. After the drilling, the rim plate is removed to expose the drilled hole. A removal tool is inserted into the drilled pilot hole. The attached liner is then disengaged from the implanted acetabular shell with the inserted removal tool.
