The flange has a flange length extending from a first end and a second end such that an angle defined by a first line from a center of the body to the first end and a second line from the center of the body to the second end is less than 180 degrees.

BONE GRAFT SHAPER & PATIENT SPECIFIC BONE GRAFT

Joint prosthesis methods and apparatuses are provided. A bone graft blank is placed in the chamber of the bone press facing a contoured surface. The contoured surface can be part of the bone press or can comprise a surface of a patient specific negative that can be inserted into the bone press. A bone contact surface of the bone graft blank is disposed in the chamber to face the contoured surface of the patient specific insert negative. The bone contact surface of the bone graft blank is compressed against the contoured surface. The bone contact surface can be reshaped to form a patient specific bone graft.

Instrumentation and method for implanting a glenoidal prosthetic component on a glenoid
20170273806 · 2017-09-28 ·

The instrumentation aims at improving the implantation of a glenoidal prosthetic component which is both provided with a convex articular surface defining a joint axis and intended to articulate with a humeral prosthetic component, and which is adapted so as to be fixedly assembled with a plate to be anchored to the glenoid, the assembly between the glenoidal prosthesis component and the plate being centered on an implantation axis which is both parallel and shifted relatively to the joint axis, the relative position of the glenoidal prosthesis component and of the plate being adjustable around the implantation axis before fixing the assembly. The instrumentation comprises a tool for positioning the glenoidal prosthetic component and the plate relatively to each other angularly around the implantation axis, this tool comprising a body, which, in use, extends transversely to the implantation axis and which is provided with localization elements for localizing an implantation angle centered on the implantation axis, so that the tool is able to intra-operatively protract the implantation angle with respect to the glenoid.

Modular rotational device for torsionally stabilizing an endoprosthesis
11426284 · 2022-08-30 ·

An improved modular rotational device includes a first and second threaded coupler for affixation along the stem of an endoprosthetic device, for example, a humeral prosthesis or a femoral prosthesis. The rotational device axis of rotation is coaxial with the stem, and its axis of rotation is located in close proximity to the intramedullary stem of the prosthesis or in close proximity to the distal articulation of the prosthesis. A housing has a proximal and distal end with an axial bore therethrough for receiving an elongated stem of the device. A lobe ring may be utilized to limit the axis of rotation of the device. Additional endoprosthetic devices may be attached to male or female threaded couplers, or to Morse tapers. A plurality of suture attachments facilitates attachment of soft tissue thereto.

Modular humeral implant for an inverted shoulder prosthesis

A modular humeral implant for an inverted shoulder prosthesis includes a humeral stem having, on the one hand, a diaphyseal keel of elongate shape, extending along a diaphyseal axis and shaped to be engaged in a medullary cavity of a humerus, and, on the other hand, a metaphyseal portion. A humeral spacer is mounted on the metaphyseal portion of the humeral stem and has a lower face facing the metaphyseal portion, the lower face having a peripheral portion projecting laterally from the metaphyseal portion and covered at least partially with a porous or rough metal surface coating promoting an osseointegration. A humeral insert is fastened on the humeral spacer and has a hemispherical cup shaped to receive a glenosphere of a glenoid implant.

UNICOMPARTMENTAL KNEE ARTHROPLASTY

A method of implanting a unicompartmental orthopedic knee implant may include positioning a tibial tray onto a resected patient's tibia, the tibial tray including a body having a joint-facing side opposite a bone-facing side, and inserting a tibial anchor guide into the body of the tibial tray, wherein the tibial anchor guide includes a slot. The method may further include forming a tibia channel in the patient's tibia by inserting a cutting device into the slot of the tibial anchor guide, removing the cutting device from the tibial anchor guide, and inserting a fixation element into the tibia channel, wherein compression is created between the bone-facing side of the body of the tibial tray and the tibia when the fixation element is inserted.

APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR IMPLANTING GLENOID PROSTHESES

Various apparatus and methods for implanting glenoid prostheses are disclosed. In various embodiments, a method for performing shoulder surgery can include guiding a guide pin into the glenoid surface along a reaming axis. A partial reaming guide can be placed in contact with the glenoid surface over the guide pin. A reamer can be guided over the guide pin to ream the glenoid surface. The reamer can be further advanced over the guide pin until the reamer contacts the partial reaming guide, whereby such contact limits reaming to only a portion of the glenoid surface.

Guides and instruments for improving accuracy of glenoid implant placement

A patient specific shoulder guide is provided that includes a hub and a plurality of peripheral members. Each of the peripheral members has a peripheral member height dimension between the patient specific contact surface and a side of the peripheral member opposite the patient specific contact surface. At least one of the peripheral members is a low profile peripheral member in which the peripheral height dimension is less than the peripheral height dimension of at least one other of the peripheral members or is less than the hub height.

IMPLANT SYSTEMS AND METHODS EMPLOYING A MOBILE GLENOSPHERE

A glenoid implant system for use in a reverse total shoulder replacement of a patient that includes a movable glenosphere, a baseplate, and a connector for movably connecting the glenosphere to the baseplate. The glenosphere and the baseplate are configured so that a central axis of the glenosphere is movable non-axially relative to a central axis of the baseplate. Further disclosed is a method having the steps of exposing and resecting a bone, securing a baseplate into the bone with the baseplate having a central axis, securing a glenosphere to the baseplate and non-axially moving the glenosphere relative to the central axis of the baseplate. Also disclosed is a method that includes the steps of rotating an arm in a medial direction, moving a glenosphere anteriorly relative to a baseplate attached to a glenoid, rotating the arm in a lateral direction, and moving the glenosphere posteriorly relative to the baseplate.
