BONE FIXATION ASSEMBLY, IMPLANTS AND METHODS OF USE

Bone fusion system, plate system, guide, implant, kit and methods for using the bone fusion system, plate system, guide and implant are disclosed. The bone fusion system includes an alignment guide, an implant, and at least one fastener inserted through the implant. The alignment guide includes a body portion, a first lobe positioned at a first end of the body portion, a second lobe positioned at a second end of the body portion, and an extension member extending away from a first side of the body portion. The implant includes a body portion, a first arm extending away from the body portion in a first direction, a second arm extending away from the body portion in a second direction, and a third arm extending away from the body portion laterally between first and second arms. Finally, methods for using the bone fusion system, plate system, guide and implant are disclosed.

Bone repositioning guide system and procedure

An improved surgical system and procedure for correcting a deformity between first and second bones using an alignment guide based on a correction factor. The correction factor can be based on a virtual model of the first and second bones in a deformed configuration and a corrected configuration. In the virtual corrected configuration, first and second virtual axes can be fixed in the respective first and second bones. When reverted to the virtual deformed configuration, the orientation of the first and second axes can be used to determine the correction factor. The alignment guide is used to insert one or more k-wires into each of the first and second bones in a deformed configuration. A correction guide is passed along the k-wires to rotate and/or translate the first bone relative to the second bone into the corrected configuration.

Orthopaedic implant system for compression-distraction of joints

An orthopaedic implant system includes an orthopaedic implant having a plurality of fixation openings and a plug opening defining a plug opening diameter that is greater than a diameter of any of the fixation openings. The plurality of fixation openings include at least one first fixation opening configured to accept a fixation element inserted in a first bone and at least one second fixation opening configured to accept a fixation element inserted in a second bone. The plug opening is configured to accept a plug inserted in a joint space between the first bone and the second bone to cause compression distraction of the first bone and the second bone.

Systems and methods for joint fusion

Apparatus and methods are disclosed for correcting deformities in a patient's foot. In one example, a metatarsus adductus is addressed using a pin placement guide that is angulated to be placed in alignment with a cuneiform and a metatarsal, such that the TMT joint can be subsequently cut, and the metatarsal moved into proper alignment. Th pin placement guide can be a variable angle guide, or a kit of fixed-angle pin placement guides can be provided.

INSTRUMENTS AND SURGICAL METHODS FOR BUNION PROCEDURES

An instrument system includes a first cut guide and an actuation instrument. The actuation instrument includes an upper portion having a handle and a first cannulation, and a lower portion releasably couplable with the upper portion. The lower portion includes a shaft, a second cannulation, wherein the second cannulation is coaxial and in fluid communication with the first cannulation, and a paddle configured to abut a resected surface of a first bone. The instrument system also includes a compression mechanism releasably couplable with the lower portion, the compression assembly couplable with the first bone and a second bone The compression assembly includes an actuator configured to bias at least one of the first bone and the second bone toward the other of the first bone and the second bone. A method for using the instrument system is also disclosed herein.

Arcuate orthopedic distractor devices, systems, and methods for treating mid-foot disorders

Devices, systems and methods for surgical treatment of mid-foot disorders such as osteoarthritis, spacing disorders, or alignment disorders, including mid-foot arthroplasty devices and systems for the 2.sup.nd and 3.sup.rd tarsometatarsal (TMT) joint, implants for post-osteotomy spacing and realignment, arthroplasty articular implants, dowel grafts for TMT arthrodesis or fusion, dowel grafts for navicular cuneiform (NC) arthrodesis, dowel grafts for intercuneiform arthrodesis, and/or locking dowels for joint fusion.
