BIONIC ARTIFICIAL INTERPHALANGEAL JOINT
20210045889 · 2021-02-18 ·

The present invention discloses a bionic artificial interphalangeal joint. The bionic artificial interphalangeal joint includes three sets of proximal prostheses and distal prostheses matched with the proximal prostheses and respectively corresponding to the three joints from the metacarpal bone to the distal phalanx. According to the specific position of the joint to be replaced, the corresponding artificial interphalangeal joint can be selected for replacement. Among them, the bionic artificial interphalangeal joint that can be installed between the metacarpal bone and the proximal phalanx has multiple degrees of freedom, which allows the proximal phalanx to bent in any direction like a real finger, and the bending angle of the proximal phalanx can be up to about 90 degrees when the proximal phalanx is bent toward the inner side of the finger.

HARD-TISSUE IMPLANT COMPRISING A SHAFT, A SURFACE, PILLARS FOR CONTACTING A HARD TISSUE, SLOTS TO BE OCCUPIED BY THE HARD TISSUE, AND A THREAD DISPOSED HELICALLY ALONG THE SHAFT
20210068961 · 2021-03-11 ·

A hard-tissue implant is provided. The implant includes a shaft, a surface of the shaft, pillars for contacting a hard tissue, slots to be occupied by the hard tissue, and a thread disposed helically along the shaft, extending radially from the shaft, and having a plurality of grooves oriented transversely with respect to the thread that define a series of thread segments and thread gaps along the thread. The implant has a Young's modulus of elasticity of at least 3 GPa and a ratio of (i) the sum of the volumes of the slots and the thread gaps to (ii) the sum of the volumes of the pillars and the thread segments and the volumes of the slots and the thread gaps of 0.40:1 to 0.90:1. Also provided is a method of use of the implant for fusion of two or more bones in an individual in need thereof.

ARTHRITIS CORRECTION AND FIXATION DEVICE

An arthritis correction and fixation device is used to connect distal and middle phalanges of a finger. The arthritis correction and fixation device includes a first unit, a second unit and a connection unit. The first unit connects with the distal phalange and has a first threaded portion and a first connecting portion. The second unit connects with the middle phalange and has a second threaded portion and a second connecting portion. The first connecting portion and the second connecting portion are connected through the connection unit, so that the first unit and the second unit can actuate relative to each other. When the first threaded portion is rotated, the first connecting portion drives the second unit to move together in a direction away from the first threaded portion, thereby changing a distance between the distal and middle phalanges.

IMPLANT FOR REPAIR AND REGENERATION OF SOFT TISSUE
20200383790 · 2020-12-10 ·

Provided for herein, in several embodiments are implants and methods of using same to repair damaged or defective soft tissue. In several embodiments, the soft tissue comprises cartilage within a joint space. In several embodiments, the implants provided for comprise a stimulating region and an anchoring region. In several embodiments, the implants are spherical. A discontinuity between a surface of the implant and the surrounding cartilage advantageously facilitates implant placement and stimulation of generation of fibrous tissue, and subsequently new cartilage.

Arthrodesis implant

A resorbable implant for osteosynthesis for stiffening in a central joint (e.g., the proximal interphalangeal joint referred to as PIP) during arthrodesis or for stiffening in an end joint (e.g., the distal interphalangeal joint referred to as DIP) during arthrodesis and for osteosynthesis and stabilization of fractures of small bones of the human skeleton includes two shafts placed against each other. At least one fixing aid is located between the shafts. The fixing aid protrudes beyond a diameter of the shafts. Each shaft may have longitudinal grooves and transverse grooves. The implant is a magnesium-based material which can be resorbed by the human body. The disclosed implant has a relatively high tensile strength, excellent stability, optimal healing properties, and an optimally adapted resorption speed.
