A nail polish application system may include a nail polish applicator to apply a curable nail polish to a nail of a user. An energy source may emit energy to selectively cure the curable nail polish. A sensor may be provided to detect a boundary of the nail of the user. The energy source may be configured to direct the energy to (i) the detected boundary of the nail during a first curing stage or (ii) to an area within the detected boundary of the nail during the first curing stage, and to (iii) avoid directing the energy to an area outside the detected boundary of the nail during the first curing stage.

An applying method of a nail polish on a nail surface via an airbrush applicator, including the steps of: filling a predetermined amount of nail polish in a polish container of the airbrush applicator; actuating an air compressor of the airbrush applicator, which is powered by a rechargeable battery thereof, for generating pressurized air; controlling a flow of the pressurized air to mix with the nail polish so as to form an aerosol on the nail surface; and drying the nail polish on the nail surface to form a nail coating thereon.

An apparatus, kit, and method for applying a decal to a nail of a human digit are provided. A base coat of base nail polish is applied to a nail. The base coat has a tacky surface when dry. A decal application product is pressed against the tacky surface of the base coat, and includes a substrate and at least one decal adhered thereto. The at least one decal and the substrate have a first adhesion coefficient therebetween. The at least one decal and the tacky surface have a second adhesion coefficient that is greater than the first adhesion coefficient to cause a subset of the at least one decal to adhere to the base coat. A top coat of a top nail polish is applied atop of the base coat and the subset of the at least one decal to seal the subset of the at least one decal and the base coat.
