Disclosed is a printing device including: a rest on which a finger corresponding to a nail to be printed is placed; and a holder which is movable to at least a first position and a second position. The first position is a position where a movement of the finger placed on the rest is restricted, and the second position is a position where a distance to the rest is larger than the first position and restriction on the finger is removed.

A drawing device includes a drawing unit holding a drawing tool for drawing on a drawing target surface in contact with the drawing target surface having a curved shape along a first direction and moving the drawing tool; and a control unit controlling the drawing unit. The control unit controls the drawing unit to perform an operation in which the drawing tool moves on a first and second regions adjacent in the first direction of the drawing target surface along a second direction crossing with the first direction in a state in which the drawing tool is in contact with the drawing target surface, then drawing tool draws on the first and second regions, and an operation in which the drawing tool moves between the first and second regions in a state in which the drawing tool is separated from the drawing target surface.

A printer includes a head having a nozzle face which ejects ink toward an object, a driving mechanism which moves the head in a first direction and a second direction approximately orthogonal to the first direction, a nozzle cap movable between a first position where the nozzle face is capped and a second position where the nozzle face is uncapped, and a lock mechanism which regulates movement of the head in the first direction and the second direction in the state where the nozzle cap is in the first position.

An object of the present disclosure is to improve usability. One embodiment of the present invention is a non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing a program for causing an information processing apparatus to function as: a first display control unit configured to display an area a user can edit on a fingernail area in a finger image on a first screen that displays the finger image for each finger; and a second display control unit configured to display a second screen that enlarges and displays the editable area in response to user instructions to designate a position outside the area in a specific finger image corresponding to the area of an editing target via the first screen.

An information processing apparatus detects a printing-target fingernail area from a first captured image, creates print data for performing printing in the detected fingernail area, and detects a printing-target fingernail area from a second captured image before transmitting the print data to a printer. The print data is corrected based on a difference between the first and second detection results. In addition, a change in position, gradient, and shape of a fingernail based on the first detection results and the second detection results is detected, and it is determined whether one of an amount of change in position, an amount of change in gradient, and an amount of change in shape of a fingernail is larger than or equal to a predetermined threshold value.

Systems and apparatuses for applying coating to nails are disclosed. In one aspect, embodiments of the present disclosure include a method, which may be implemented on a system, to performing image processing on an image of the nail to locate a boundary of the nail. The method can further include determining a path along which to move the nail relative to an applicator, the applicator being used to coat the nail. In a further embodiment, using the located boundary of the nail, a dispensing procedure for the applicator to follow to coat the nail is determined.

A drawing apparatus includes a mounting section where an object having a nail is mounted, and an inclination detection unit that detects a degree of an inclination of the nail in a width direction of the nail with respect to a reference state of the nail based on a shape of at least one target image along the width direction of the object, the target image being formed on the object.

A drawing apparatus includes a drawing unit for drawing on a nail of an object which is a finger or a toe by applying ink, an object suppression unit for applying a suppression force to suppress a motion of the object to the object, and a nail region detection unit for detecting a region of the nail. The drawing apparatus sets the suppression force to a first suppression force in at least one of a first period of the drawing unit drawing on the nail and a second period of the nail region detection unit detecting the region of the nail, and sets the suppression force to a second suppression force which is weaker than the first suppression force or sets the motion of the object to be not suppressed in a third period of the ink applied to the nail being dried.

An optical shaping apparatus includes: a light source unit that outputs collimated light; an optical function unit that is disposed on an optical path of the collimated light and modulates the optical path or a phase of the collimated light; and a control unit that controls operation of the optical function unit, to irradiate a target surface with modulated light produced in the optical function unit.

A nail printing apparatus including a print head that prints an image on a nail, a finger rest that is a rest on which a finger is placed and that is movable in a height direction, a sensor that is arranged at a position above the finger rest as well as below the print head in the height direction and that is movable in a movement direction and capable of detecting a nail within a detection range, and a control unit configured to perform control of height adjustment in which the sensor is moved in the movement direction so that a first position of a nail area is included in the detection range of the sensor and then the finger rest is moved upward until the sensor detects the nail.
